Guys!!!

 

I know for a fact that some of you other dog lovers out there prayed for our old retired guy, Toby!!  And I’m also sure it was your prayers which saved him!!

 

THREE vets (even one who practices holistically!!)   told us NOTHING could be done other than surgery!!!!    I knew in his frail state Toby would never make it through an hour of anesthesia plus antibiotics plus recoup time……

 

So I just ignored advice from all 3 vets & told myself, “THEY DO NOT KNOW MY GOD!!!!!”   My God Who can heal – even when told it’s IMPOSSIBLE to heal!!!   (I’m stubborn if you recall my saying – and actually a few years ago when I was told by TWO super-duper [human] eye Dr. experts that my own eye could not be healed – just “learn to live with it”…… nope!!  With my stubborn refusal to “settle” for that – and knowing the Healing God like I do – I called out to Him!!!  He directed my paths and HEALED ME!!!

I knew He could do the same for our Toby!!

 

Our Toby is still an old guy – can’t change “that”.  But for his age & stage in life, he’s still a spry sweetheart.

 

Guess what guys??  His backside cyst kept bleeding & bleeding – one night was especially bad.  But then, again your prayers (thanks)  and God directing me ….. he appears to be fine now!!!!!

 

 

Listen, I was using the super high end dog food – but even kibble of ANY kind, high end or not – is totally bad, rotten to the core for our furry friends!!  B/c it contains mycotoxins and b/c it’s been sprayed with SYNTHETIC minerals & junk.  This, according to Dana Scott of www.DogsNaturally.com   No, I don’t feed Toby “raw” as they suggest at this site.  His intestinal tract couldn’t take it.  But I have become a “full time Toby cook” – he gets tons of vegetables, some fruits, and a tad of meat just to make it interesting!!    NO MORE BLOOD!!!!   Not one drop!!  And btw, I had even been using – get this!!  VEGAN dog food!!

 

One brand made him crippled worse – the CANOLA oil in it!!  The other, though he loved it, caused the tumor & bleeding.  Hmm….. soooo  not good!!....

This article in particular What’s this ingredient in my pet’s food? Carrageenan? – Truth about Pet Food   “saved” our dog some 5+ years ago – when I nearly (accidentally of course!!)  nearly killed my own dog – by once again feeding him “high end” canned dog food – it was one which used the name, “Well” in its title – and had ONLY FOUR ingredients in it!!!  Since a meat was one of such ingredients, the carrageenan in it never dinged a bell in my head!!   Yes carrageenan IN DOG FOOD (and many times in people food…. Watch out for it)  nearly killed our dog!!!!  He ended up with hemorrhaging gastritis – horrid amounts of blood coming out of BOTH ENDS!!!!!!   In the hospital…. Etc. etc.  which further wiped out his immune system – all those antibiotics…..   we managed…. Thankfully… to get him back.

 

And then “this” stubborn lady [me] went to work researching – b/c the dog hospital had 2 others in there for the exact same thing – so I thought to myself, “this does not JUST happen”!!!!  You’re telling me vets with all their knowledge & studying can’t figure this out?  (sorry I don’t mean to sound too hard on vets – I know some are good, honest, and really love our animals.  But from what I understand, they, just like human doctors, get VERY LITTLE TRAINING in nutrition!!!!)

 

For that matter – “insert rabbit trailing thought here”…..  I knew a NUTRITION professor at ORU – who once told me at lunch (while he guzzled his Dr. Pepper….  )  that food had nothing to do with how it affects our health!!!

 

Alrighty then!!   (This stubborn woman says it DOES!!!  In fact, it greatly affects our health!!  But this was your “stock” resident nutrition professor… Hmm!!....)   I know the world is going to hell in a handbasket, even so if you so desire you might want to find the book called, “Never Be Sick Again”.  Though admittedly, I stand guilty in not giving up sugar…. Hmm… tastes so good, sugar…. Yet I know I’d feel better.  And maybe I could then get rid of this “room addition” I’ve added to my temple!!   😊   

 

So back to dog food:  Yes, CARRAGEENAN!!!!!   NEARLY KILLED OUR DOG!!!!!

 

Also – and I’ve known this for years—that most all packaged dog foods & most certainly the cheaper ones use DECEASED DISEASED animals in their products!!!   Eeew, gross!!!!   And/or – sadly, also the ones which are euthanized.  Not a pleasant thought, so I choose to not further elaborate on that.

 

Food business can be icky – likely I told this story that when I was young & in food business briefly I walked to the back room of the store & saw a DEAD COW CARCASS just laying there – yep, the butchers would cut slabs off right in the store.  (some how I was thinking they arrived to the store prepackaged.  The butcher told me, “You think that’s something – you ought to see the cows that come in with CANCER.  We have to “cut around” the green holes to get to the meat we’re going to sell!!”

 

 

Uh, still sell the meat?  The “other cells” in the SAME cancerous cow….??   Like that’s good for us??  …..Hungry much??  Hamburger anyone?

 

No, I’m not a soy boy Bill Gates prodigy!!  Who doesn’t love a good, juicy burger now & then?  I must wonder though if grass fed beef is much better for us…..

 

Sorry I know my thoughts are all over the place on this one. 

Mainly once again I thank you so much for praying for our sweetheart!!  Be glad to introduce you in heaven!!  Still hoping our beloved pets get raptured with us.  Ultimately that’s up to God.  We thank Him for being a good God. For creating wonderful creatures….. life to make our lives so much better!!
