Why are some people saying that the pope went to Babylon?
Did he not go to where they believe is the site of ancient Ur?
That site is like 140 miles from the site of ancient Babylon, it is not the same place.
Perhaps they are desperately trying to make a Revelation 17 & 18 connection to the pope's visit?
Back in 1986, when I worked in Baiji, in Iraq, we were about 190 miles north of the site of Babylon.
That is a long way in that country, and only one of our employees took the time necessary to visit the site.
Ur is south east of ancient Babylon, and even though is is about the same distance,
	yet it is not exactly like driving the same distance on I-90 from Chicago to Madison, Wisconsin.
