Hello John and Doves,
The Feasts of the Lord
are God's appointed times - we are told these are
prophetic days - we count seven of these: Passover,
Feast of Unleavened Bread, Feast of Firstfruits, Pentecost
(Feast of Weeks), Feast of Trumpets, Day of Atonement, and
Feast of Tabernacles.
We know that first 3
Feasts of the Lord were fulfilled on the exact days by
Jesus:
Passover: He was
the Passover lamb who was the last sacrifice - shedding
blood for our sins. He was crucified on Passover, 14
Nissan. (Nissan is also Aviv or Nisan.)
Feast of Unleavened
Bread: His body was the bread broken for us.
Leaven is sin; unleavened means without sin. His
broken body was placed in the tomb. His body was in
the tomb on 15 Nissan.
Feast of
Firstfruits: He was the firstfruits of those that
died. He rose on the third day - 16 Nissan.
"But now is Christ risen from the dead, and has become the
firsfruits of those who have fallen asleep" 1
Corinthians 15:20
In Leviticus 23: 5-
8: "On the fifteenth day of the same month begins
the Feast of Unleavened Bread to the Lord. For seven
days you must eat unleavened bread. On the
first day (Feast of Unleavened Bread) you are to hold a
sacred assembly; you are not do to any regular work.
For seven days you are to present an offering made by fire
to the Lord. On the seventh day there shall
be a sacred assembly; you must not do any regular work."
So we see that the first
day, the actual Feast of Unleavened Bread, and the seventh
day are both "sacred assemblies, you must not do any
work." The first and last day are treated the same -
they are both important - Not just the Feast of
Unleavened Bread!
What is a "sacred
assembly"? In the biblehub.com we see that it is
translated: "holy convocation", "holy assembly".
The shofar was used to
call the "sacred assembly", "holy assembly"....it was a
time to repent and mend your lives.
So there was the sounding
of the trumpet on 15 Nissan and on 21 Nissan.
Seems we are 'missing'
another important Spring Feast Day - 21 Nissan! The
seventh day! It is just as important to God as the
Feast of Unleavened Bread - as He is calling for a sacred
assembly and blowing the trumpet.
The Jews know this day,
but the Gentiles do not. For Gentiles, this has
become a 'missing' day in the Feasts of the Lord!
And THIS day has not been
fulfilled...yet. Passover was fulfilled; Feast of
Unleavened Bread was fulfilled; Feast of Firstfruits was
fulfilled - all by Jesus.
Why would God have the
Hebrew people/the Jews celebrate this time as SEVEN
days?
These are "appointed" days
- they are a 'prophetic calendar'. Will this 7th day
also have a prophetic significance?
The torah calendar has
sunset 28 as Passover Eve. Passover Day 1 is sunset
28 March to sunset 29 March ending with Passover Day 7 on
sunset 3 April to sunset 4 April. So April 4 is
included in this 7 day count. Torah
Calendar
Some Jews celebrate this
time period for seven days and others for eight
days. Because they no longer go by the new moon, "so
that one of the days (day one and two) would be the
correct date of the holiday" the eight day time period
came about.
Is
Passover 7 or 8 Days? | Reform Judaism
Going by what is written
in Leviticus, this time period is SEVEN days, not
eight. I'm going by this seven day time period
then. So when is this seventh day?
A visible new moon might
have been seen on March 14. Making 1
Nissan, March 15. It is doubtful the new moon
was sighted by sunset on March 13. And 1 Nissan, on
the chabad and torah calendars, begins at sunset March
13. According to how the ancient Hebrew started
their months, they would have waited until March 15 to
declare the 'new moon' - marking 1 Nissan. (Jewish
days are sunset to sunset.)
Using the sighted
new moon:
The First Day of the
First Month is Monday, 3/15/2021: 1 Aviv/Nisan.
Pesach (Passover) is
sunset, Sunday, 3/28/2021 to sunset Monday,
3/29/2021: 14 Aviv/Nisan.
7th Day of
Unleavened Bread is sunset, Saturday, 4/3/2021 to sunset
Sunday 4/4/2021: 20 Aviv/Nisan.
Many of us have considered
an "Easter" or Resurrection Sunday as a really cool day
for the Rapture. Anyone left behind could note the
date - the day of Christ's resurrection...and connect the
dots.
There is an order to the
'resurrections' - "But each in his own order: Christ
the fristfruits..." 1 Corinthians 15:23.
Christ was resurrected, then "after Jesus' resurrection,
when they come out of the tombs, they entered the holy
city and appeared to many people..."
Matthew 27:52
The next IN ORDER is the
Church - the believers in Christ during the Rapture.
Will this "resurrection"
of the dead happen at our Easter/Resurrection Day?
Will those who died in Christ come out of their tombs and
enter the Holy City? (see my notes below on Matthew 27 - I
really hadn't actually studied those verses in Matthew
closely.)
And this year, "Easter",
Resurrection Sunday occurs on April 4!
Jesus fulfilled the
first three Feast Days. Will Jesus fulfill this '7th day' feast by
coming in the clouds for 'the believers'?
"Easter", Resurrection
Sunday is also a feast day to the Lord this year!
A day the trumpet is blown for a holy assembly of the
people.
Pray for the peace of
Jerusalem!

King James Version:
Matthew 27 - 50-53
And Jesus cried out
again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit.
Then, behold, the veil
of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the
bottom; and the earth did quake and the rocks
rent;
And the graves were
opened, and many bodies of the saints having fallen
asleep arose.
And came out of
the graves AFTER his resurrection, and went into the
holy city and appeared unto many.
Note the graves were
open with a GREAT EARTHQUAKE at the moment Christ died,
but they did not come out of their graves until Christ
arose - that was on Feast of Firstfruits. So they
came out of their graves following Christ on the Feast
of Firstfruits. Is this 'the order' that we are
told about? Will our dead in Christ come out of
their graves on a Feast of Firstfruits also?
With so many crazy big
earthquakes of late...just had a 7.0 in Japan on 3/20,
an 8.1, a 7.4, and 7.3 on 3/4, a 7.1 on 2/13 and a 7.7
on 2/12, a 7.0 on 2.1... bigger ones are becoming more
and more frequent.
I would think that the
power of God to resurrect the dead in Christ (over the
last 2,000 years or so) would take a mighty amount of
energy to do this if the resurrection of Christ and the
saints was any indication of what could possibly
happen....
Reminds me of the
book: Earthquake Resurrection by David W. Lowe.
