"RE: Doug L: 03.24.19"

Doug,
	That was so very powerful!
Your posted letter, over the weeks, months, and years, have all reflected such a strong desire to be what the LORD wants.
You also have encouraged and admonished us to the same.
You have both reminded us of the beautiful wonder of the LORD, but also that he cannot look on iniquity.
I have fully enjoyed writing back and forth with you.
Like the four gospels show the same Jesus, but from four different perspectives;
Your focus on Jesus is a little different than my own, but no doubt has the glory of the Lamb as the main thing.
The LORD desired Adam and Eve to live right, but they sinned, and we all fell in Adam.
Then their descendants each had a conscience, and were expected to live right, but got worse up to the flood.
Then the Lord gave divisions of tribes and nations, and apparently with their own authority,
but they collectively rebelled, and stayed in the same place and built a tower.
Then the LORD gave Abraham unconditional promises, passing them on to Isaac, then to Jacob, and then to his children,
but they ended up in slavery in Egypt.
Then the LORD delivered their descendants and gave them his law, which completely reflects the perfect character of the LORD,
but they did not keep his law, they had periods of following the LORD, and periods of rebellion, and the rebellion kept getting worse,
they were afflicted by other nations, and even spent time in captivity, which broke their idolatry, but not the rebellion,
they ended up rejecting and killing their own Messiah.
Then they were given a new covenant, which they have not yet accepted, and by grace, the door of the gospel was opened to the Gentiles,
now believers, whether Jew or Gentile, have the Spirit of the LORD within, and also been given the new testament of the word of God,
yet, it ends with, like Jesus asked, will there be faith on the earth? reflected, sadly by the church of the Laodiceans.
Then Jesus returns to the earth, saves Israel, and establishes his kingdom in perfect righteousness,
yet after a thousand years there is a massive rebellion.
It proves that man, particularly on his own, is incapable of truly living holy, until he has a completely changed spirit, soul, and body.
The LORD always desires us to be holy, yet man has always fallen short, individually, and collectively.
The recorded, as well as the prophesied, failures do not excuse any of us from our own responsibility to live holy before the LORD.
Thank you for sharing your understanding of the holy nature of the LORD, and his desire for us to be holy.
It has been a pleasure looking at the scriptures with you,
				Your brother in Christ,
					Gino
