"Syria Threatens to Attack Israel Over Golan"

Hello John and Doves,

A Syrian attack on Israel might be coming in the near future!  Syria has threatened to attack Israel over the Golan Heights region - claiming they are 'prepared for a showdown'.

We'll definitely be keeping an eye on this Syrian threat of war with Israel.

And there is a US bill that some are claiming is what the Syrians are responding to.  The Syrians have wanted the Golan Heights back for a long time - I think any excuse is fine with them.  And I wasn't aware of a bill for the US recognizing Israel's sovereignty over the Golan.

And to add to this - 'representatives from the Israeli defense establishment' have asked Congress not to do this or at least delay this.  Much to the surprise of both US parties.

I strongly doubt that Syria will take on Israel alone - Iran, Russia, Turkey have all been biting at the bit to 'take a plunder'.

Maranatha!

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem!

"Syria Notifies Israel Is Will Attack If IDF Doesn't Leave Golan Heights"

"Syrian Deputy Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad submitted an official warning to the head of the United Nations Truce Supervision Organization Kristin Lund, in what seemed to be an attempt to prevent official US recognition of Israeli sovereignty in the Golan."

And another news source:

"In a surprising and provocative ultimatum, Syria has notified Israel through United Nations diplomatic channels that it is prepared to go to war if Israel does not leave the Golan Heights......Damascus' firm warning appears a response to a controversial bill recently under renewed consideration by US Congress, co-sponsored by Republican Senators Ted Cruz and Tom Cotton, and Democratic Rep. Mike Gallagher, which aims to give formal US recognition of Israel's sovereignty over the Golan Heights region."  Israelis responded, "It is ours and it will stay ours"....
