"Confirming the covenant with many."

Dear John and Doves,
Former President Jimmy Carter (94) was in Israel the first week of March
where they were honoring him for being the mediator
of the Camp David Peace Accords signed 40 years ago by Egypt and Israel on March 26, 1979.
( Thank you Andrea for posting that news item which alerted me).

Quoting Mr. Carter
( "Times of Israel " )
"I would like the Israelis to know that
*my number one goal in life*
would be for Israel to be able to live at peace with all her neighbors."
(emphasis mine)

Then Mr. Carter explained that there was a Second Part to that original covenant that was left undone.
The missing Second Part was that the covenant was not signed by ALL neighbors, including the Palestinians.

Haaretz news reported
that Mr. Carter wanted the covenant to be
"between peoples,
not governments."

On Thursday, March 7th,
Jason Greenblatt, Special Envoy to the Mideast, met with Trump's Evangelical Group to hear their concerns on the upcoming covenant.
Joel Rosenberg passed along the fact that compromises would be involved.
(me: 2 states?...
Jerusalem divided?).

Later, Mr. Rosenberg was invited into the Oval Office
and met with President Trump, V P Pence, Sec. Of State Mike Pompeo, and National Security Advisor
John Bolton.

The peace plan will be rolled out over several months. It will involve: economic investments,
Saudi Arabia will be a key ally, political plans, and Security, among other things.

The Palistinians do not want Trump as mediator, ever since he made Jerusalem the Capitol of Israel.

Would the original mediator take his place?
Would he confirm the covenant with many?
Daniel 9:27.
Time will tell.

In Jesus,
A Goodrick
