"Matthew 7:21 question"
Matthew 7:21 ¶ Not every one that saith unto me, Lord,
Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth
the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we
not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out
devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you:
depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
These people are surprised at this.
It seems that this can only be two groups.
The one group is alive at the second coming, and face Jesus at
his throne on earth.
The other group is alive at the very end, and then next face
Jesus at the great white throne judgment.
Otherwise these people, who are lost, would have gone to hell.
And like the rich man in Luke 17, would have found themselves in
hell.
They would no longer be self deceived, they would then know for
sure that they are lost.
Am I way off, or does this make sense?
