"Will it be worse?"

Will the flames of hell, or later in the lake of fire,
be as excruciating and as maddening as when someone is burned alive at the stake?
In hell, the soul is tormented.
However, after the resurrection of the damned, people are cast into the lake of fire in a body.
Will that body be perpetually burned and tormented without burning up or being consumed away?
How different is the torment of a soul in the flames of hell,
compared to a soul in a body, in the lake of fire?
I guess if I cared more about people suffering this torment forever,
I would be more passionate about giving the gospel.
Could I walk past a burning building, with people screaming within,
and not even attempt to rescue any of them, or care?
How often do I pass up the opportunity to give the gospel to someone who is still lost?
When I don't give them the gospel, is that kind of like me secretly in my heart,
saying, "Go to hell, I don't care about your soul"?
