"As in the days of
Noah - Mosul Dam"
With the urgent threat of this massive dam collapsing (see post
re Mosul Dam) prophecy is screaming into focus. Daniel 9:26
tells us that the end will come with a flood. Although it won't
be on the scale of Noah's flood, it WILL be a flood. Reading the
article on the impending doom of the Mosul Dam (recommended
reading, Doves), it was fascinating to learn that one gate is
jammed shut - for some reason - and they cannot open the other
one by itself as this will rapidly accelerate the dangerous
erosion taking place. I totally see Almighty God's hand in this.
The engineers are truly frightened by what is taking place. And
most are ignoring it - doing nothing about it.
Luke 17: 26 - 36 tells us the days of the Son of Man (Jesus)
will be just as in the days of Noah. People eating and drinking,
getting married etc. Oblivious of the lurking danger. Right up
to the day Noah entered the Ark. THEN the flood came. Hmmmm -
when the Mosul Dam bursts, the devastation will be catastrophic.
Perhaps we won't be here to see it, Doves? The same chapter
tells us that it will also be as in the days of Lot. A sudden
burst of fire and sulphur - albeit AFTER Lot had left Sodom. So
- we have a flood AND fire and sulphur. BUT - we will be gone.
The rest of the Luke 17 26- 36 story then warns people not to
rush home to collect their belongings. That whoever tries to
keep his life, will lose it. Remember Lot's wife! The it says
"on that night, two people will be in a bed - one will be
taken, the other left. Two women grinding at the mill - one
taken, the other left. Two men will be in a field, one taken,
the other left.". This fits in with the incredible vision that
young Nathan had. A selection of people who will be physically
hidden and protected - the rest left out to deal with the trib.
Judging by the state of play in the Middle East, coupled with
David's Sling being prepared, and the urgent threat of the Mosul
Dam bursting - we will be going home VERY, VERY soon. As Luke's
writing tells us - God's people - Lot and Noah - were safe
guarded and rescued from the flood, fire and sulphur. That is
also HIS promise to us.
I am lifted from depression. My heart is filled with joy. Like
all of you, brothers and sisters, I CANNOT WAIT to see my LORD.
I CANNOT wait to get HOME.
Maranatha, beloved LORD Jesus.
