"God or Not - can you tell the difference ?"

God or Not - can you tell the difference ?
The power  in some churches comes from influential personalities, the large number of attendees and the money collected.
They have power to build great buildings, purchase fine homes, cars and in some cases airplanes. They can  promote and support great works and provide  leadership the ability  to travel around the globe for God.

But is it all really God's work by the power of The Holy Spirit or just the work of clever men faking it until they make it ?  Maybe making it is not the actual goal- but just maintaining a lifestyle with the outward appearance of religious activities to attract more gullable followers and contributors to their unholy masquerade.   No Holy Spirit - no crucified lives and no one forsaking this life and pressing forward towards the mark of God's highest calling for their lives.

Is this not the Great Deception from which apostacy is born ?  People who cannot tell the difference between -  when the power of God is present to radically change lives or the foolishness of men who neither know Him or His ways ?
At this time in which we live it is absolutely critical to know God and His Word to us or we will be easily deceived by the wiles of the devil in whatever form he takes.

For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. No wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. Therefore it is not surprising if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness, whose end will be according to their deeds.   2 Corinthians 11:13-15
"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord!' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the person who does what my Father in heaven wants. Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, didn't we prophesy in your name? Didn't we force out demons and do many miracles by the power and authority of your name?' Then I will tell them publicly, 'I've never known you. Get away from me, you evil people.'  Matthew 7:21-23
