40 years ago when I was a very young Christian, the Lord showed me a specific number several times. That number was 1117. It was as if there was some strange spiritual or supernatural significance or pull to it. I never forgot the number nor how it happened, but for the life of me I didn’t understand it. Time went on and so did I.

In 1997, the Lord met me during a great trial in my life, and I was swallowed up in the events of the first week of December of that year. You can read that account on my Tumblr site. There were many things the Lord showed me and 95% of them I didn’t understand then - but over time He put the puzzle pieces in place and I have written about them. He gave me a direct command back then: “Post all you know.” Most of it has been posted on John Tng’s prophecy study site fivedoves.com including the 1997 account.

As I started studying Bible numbers with the events of December 1997 heavily upon me, I remembered the number 1117. I knew that one of the main points of the Lord’s encounter with me was that Strong’s numbers were of God and I was to study them and see how they and other Bible number systems dovetailed together, and then “post all I knew”.

I looked at Strong’s 1117 greek:

Strong’s 1117g = “gomos” = Merchandise

Found in three Bible verses, two of which are in the famous Revelation chapter 18 -

Revelation 18:11,12 -

“And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more, The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and all manner vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels of most precious wood, and of brass, and iron, and marble, ...”

That was the first time I ended up in Revelation 18, the destruction of Babylon the Great.

Remember, that number is 40 years old to me

Forward to 2010 ...

During the morning of March 23, 2010, I had the complex, puzzling and wonderful/fearful dream of being Caught Up to the White Rooms. You can read about that dream also on this Tumblr. Still - there is one detail that I did not include in the previous dream accounts because I thought it extraneous, but now I see that was in error. Here is the info, but you need to read the whole dream first.

While I was being drawn forward and then up into Heaven slowly, I did not include in the accounts past that there was a pillow that I had with me in the dream. It was on the floor of this white “barn”, and it also floated up with me until I entered the section of the room (second deck) that was outer space, stars and all. 

The understanding of the details of dreams that are really from God are found in types in the Bible. So... I searched for “pillow”.

Genesis 28:11 has the first mention of Pillow(s) Strong’s 4763 hebrew -

“And he (Jacob) lighted upon a certain place, and tarried there all night, because the sun was set; and he took of the stones of that place, and put them for his pillows, and lay down in that place to sleep.”

Jacob then has the famous dream where the Lord speaks to him from atop a great ladder that has angels ascending and descending to and from earth.

The “bookend” match of Strong’s 4763 hebrew (pillows) is Strong’s 4763 greek translated as:

“deliciously” ( to be wanton, to live luxuriously)

... found in Revelation 18:7 -

“How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously (4763g) , so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.

and also in Revelation 18:9 -

“And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously (4763g) with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning,

Revelation 17:18 identifies who she is -

“ And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.”

along with Revelation 18:2 -

“And he (the powerful angel come down from Heaven) cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.”

That is the second time I have ended up in Revelation 18, the destruction of Babylon the Great.

In the Dream of the White Rooms, I found myself eventually in the front room gift shop of some kind of museum in Heaven. On a table in front of me was a very large, pastel green bird cage with an all metal (steel) contraption inside, or mechanical device, whose parts moved kind of like a clock. 

There is only one verse in the Bible that as both the words “bird” and “cage” in it, and you just read it:

Revelation 18:2 -

“And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.”

The cage with every unclean and hateful birds in it is a city, and that city is Babylon the Great which has fallen, and a city is what was in the bird cage I saw in the vision. That mechanical device in the bird cage was a type of city, and my take on it is that it is also Babylon the Great.

That is the third time I have ended up in Revelation 18, the destruction of Babylon the Great.

I will finish this long post by looking at the third instance of Strong’s 1117 greek gloms, merchandise. It appears in only one other verse:

Acts 21:3

“Now when we had discovered Cyprus, we left it on the left hand, and sailed into Syria, and landed at Tyre: for there the ship was to unlade her burden.

Luke writes that they docked in Syria and unloaded the 1117g merchandise at Tyre. 

This seems to me to me a prophetic match. Luke writes that they were in Syria where I think the AC is from, though I readily admit I am not a prophecy teacher or scholar.

One thing is for sure, Babylon the Great is doomed, and my take on it is that in our time, the 21st century where we find ourselves at the End of the Age, this Babylon the Great is the current capital of the Gentiles, area code 646, and as goes the capitol, so goes the country.
