"Look who the "son of perdition" is."

I am not drawing any conclusions. I am just searching the Word and looking for meanings.

2 Thessalonians 2: 3-4 NKJV

3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

"Perdition" from Strong's Greek concordance...

684. apoleia ap-o'-li-a from a presumed derivative of 622; ruin or loss (physical, spiritual or eternal):--damnable(-nation), destruction, die, perdition, X perish, pernicious ways, waste.

Do you see the likely connection of "perdition" to Apollo?

Who was the preeminent son of Apollo? He was Asclepius.

"Asclepius is the god of medicine and healing in ancient Greek religion. Asclepius represents the healing aspect of the medical arts. He shared with Apollo the epithet Paean ("the Healer"). The rod of Asclepius, a snake-entwined staff, remains a symbol of medicine today.

"The original Hippocratic Oath began with the invocation "I swear by Apollo the Physician and by Asclepius and by Hygieia and Panacea and by all the gods ..."
