HAPPY SHEEP or FAILED DISCIPLE ?


   There is a difference between being "saved" and being JESUS' Disciple. Not all
people that are Saved through JESUS CHRIST our LORD can be Disciples, some
even if they wanted to be.  HE CHOOSES them !  People that are Saved Choose
JESUS,  HE CHOOSES HIS DISCIPLES FROM AMONG THOSE.  The Qualifications
for being HIS DISCIPLE are only Known to HIM.  We can only Guess at what ALL
of those qualification are.  Some are obvious because we read of SOME of them in
the Bible.  The "others" are ONLY KNOWN TO CHRIST. We would like think that
JESUS "Favors" each of us Enough to be "Chosen" by HIM to be one of HIS
Disciples, but that is simply not the case.  The "Pulpiteers" always seem to exhort
us to Behave in such a manner as to Qualify for this distinction, but in reality that is
an Impossible Task.  This Leads to Frustration in the Pews.  YOU Know this to be
TRUE because we have all felt "Guilt" for not being able to "Measure Up" to these
Exhortations and "Expectations".  Are our Preachers WRONG for doing this ?  No !
It is a Noble Gesture, but they should Quantify it with COMPLETE TRUTH of the way JESUS does CHOOSE.  Not them "define" the qualifications, be because we don't ourselves
Know, but be HONEST in saying that WE CAN'T QUALIFY OURSELVES.  That is
WORKS !   Also, and most importantly, what it MEANS to be a Disciple Should be
Clearly Defined.  Being a DISCIPLE IS NOT EASY !  In fact it is the MOST DIFFICULT PATH A BELIEVER CAN WALK.  It is much HARDER THAN BEING A
PREACHER !  (although very few of them would admit that)  This Whole Idea ends
up DENYING many, many, people the JOY OF THEIR RELATIONSHIP WITH CHRIST by Simply being ONE OF HIS SHEEP.  There is GREAT CONTENTMENT
WITH BEING "JUST" ONE OF HIS SHEEP !   They unwittingly HEAP GUILT on "their"
Flocks by exhorting them to be "more" by means of individual effort. This is where
the Trouble With Today's Churches Lies.  They are DENIED THE PEACE JESUS
PROMISED when we COME TO KNOW HIM. The FACT that Human Nature makes
us REACH INTO OUR POCKETS TO COVER OUR SHORT-FALLS is not lost to the
Clergy of Modern America either.  We end up paying our "Fines" to the Church for our"SINS"
So todays Preachers keep on preaching what keeps the (their) system afloat.  It's the
TRUTH and IT'S STARING US IN THE FACE !  The question is...what are we going to do    about it now ?           SEEK HIS VOICE !       MARANATHA !      T H
 

      PS.  The notion to "improve" ourselves and be "more" worthy of CHRIST'S SALVATION
                is so Strong among believers that satan has latched on to it and it is one of his
                 most effective tools in diminishing GOD'S GRACE.  he even "allows" the false
                  church of today to share in the spoils of the denial of the total TRUTH !
