WHERE HAVE ALL THE COWBOYS GONE ?


Throughout our HISTORY, as Americans, we have always had "Heroes". People we
looked up and admired. Both men and women.  They were examples for us to
try and emulate.  And if we couldn't do it ourselves, we surely at least held them in high
esteem.  In all categories we had our "Greats".  We miss them today.  Where have
they gone? Are ALL our Heroes now confined to the pages of History?  I say this
because as I look around today there are very, very, few we could so Honor today.
Look around yourself and what do you see that compares to our "Greats" who
did and have still played (in memory) such a big part of our American past ? Who
are the Heroes of today?  They're fashioned and made in Hollywood today. There's
lots and lots of them. The "screens" are full of them. Movies, TV, Vid Games, etc.
Even the lying "press" has put in front of us people they deem as "outstanding" in
some way and we are to pay attention to what they are saying.  As a kid in my day
we had Cowboy Heros.  We all had our favorites.  Did u realize that the shepherds of CHRIST'S day were the "Cowboys" of HIS day?  They were herdsmen. Did the same thing Cowboys do, they herd the herd.  And yet GOD'S
Chosen People were shepherds and herdsmen.  (Thought to be the lowest of the
low by the Egyptians of the day and who were the top civilization at the time)
I wonder if that could be used an analogy to the falling away in the "Latter Days"?
We have lost our Cowboys and along with those who we used to look up to including
JESUS CHRIST.  What passes for a hero in today's society is a far cry from the
Heroes of old, with JESUS occupying the TOP SPOT. Notice how Hollywood is putting up
all kinds of " savior" types?  It's endless. They must be searching for a winner. They're
silly for even trying aren't they?  We who KNOW CHRIST easily recognize the work of
satan through his hapless dupes. Is he winning?  It is written that he makes significant
gains in the "latter days" and among the youth of today and the "luke warm" he has made
considerable progress.  Can WE do anything about it?  Yes !  But ONLY  if you are led to it by the HOLY SPIRIT !  To do so of your own volition is to " work" and you won't succeed.
Those of us who TALK with HIM take the Greatest Comfort in knowing our HERO is alive
and well and HE'S coming for us soon and then we'll be GONE, just like the Cowboys.
               Seek HIS VOICE !
