""The Remaining" (movie), Rapture, and Strong Delusion"
Have a day off so I just rented this movie. Even with its gross
inaccuracies, it's much better because of the nearness of the real
event. Most representations of the rapture show millions of people
disappear with everyone wondering what happened. In this movie however,
when the rapture takes place, the bodies of the raptured remain and they
just "die" where they are. Then to explain the deaths, the movie
describes an "illness" that has hit a large portion of the world where
people just instantly died. The ones who haven't died think they are
lucky that they survived.
Is it biblical? After Jesus said, "It is finished", He gave up "the
ghost", but his body remained. When people die, their bodies remain and
their spirits depart. Just wanted to put this out there as a possibility
in case it happens that way.
I do have another theory regarding the strong delusion and it was
brought up in the movie as well. The Bible said, "I will send strong
delusion, that they should beLIEve the LIE". The word aLIEn has LIE
right in the middle of it.
Another note, funny how quickly anyone would believe in aliens, but not
God, despite His sacrifice, His word, and His instructions to us all.
