A Home Office spokesman said: "
As a country, we must consistently challenge the twisted narrative of
extremism.
"This
Government fundamentally revised the Prevent strategy in
2011 to ensure it challenges terrorist ideology, supports
people who are vulnerable to being drawn into terrorism and
works with sectors and institutions where there are risks of
radicalisation.''
"Most
importantly, we changed Prevent's objectives so it also
deals with non-violent extremism."
He
added that the Home Office was drawing up a new strategy
which deals with "the whole spectrum''
Mainstream
Muslims feel, (as do I believe) victimised, that they are being
singled out as the only potential breeding ground for terrorism. If
we look around the world we see all manner of extreme political,
religious and social agendas being promulgated which can promote
radicalism. For this reason, Cameron in his speech to the UN,
outlining the dangers of extremism. He in effect says that we will
take a scatter-gun approach to resolve the problem, since we can't be
certain as to where the ugly head of extremism might appear. As I
stated in a previous post, Cameron argues
“We
must stop the so called non-violent extremists from inciting hatred
and intolerance.”
So who is this spokesperson for
the most extremist non-violent extremism looking to incite anger
against ? Well Cameron directs his attention to, among others,
Christians who believe and teach about Christian prophecy. He feels
he can satisfy the demands of political correctness by lumping
together all those who hold prophetic beliefs. Sadistic religious
executioners are no different from a Sunday school teacher by his
standard, if they convey a prophetic belief. He makes no distinction.
As I stated, I believe this
approach to be (at best), philosophically flawed (at worst),
extremely sinister, While I acknowledge that under the present
thinking Muslims quite rightly feel themselves to be victimised, to
lump together all prophetic beliefs as equally offensive is to in a
very real sense to 'throw the baby out with the Nile bath water'
Can I just remind us all of the
wicked web of deceits that encompass us on all sides. False flags are
being raised all throughout world events. The political elites both
of the West and the East fund and manoeuvre proxy wars across the
globe to gain a strategic advantage. The ordinary Muslim has no more
idea than the ordinary Christian how they managed to become central
to conflicts all around the world. Just like a giant chess match we
the pieces are being moved by an unknown hand but to see the end game
requires discernment that can only be learned when we press in close
to God. Move and counter move...feign retreat or posture to attack,
look to hold spiritual territory or sacrifice a few pieces to gain an
end game advantage. Unfortunately we the pieces on the board have
little knowledge of the overall strategy. Even more worrying many of
God's pieces are not acting in accordance with the 'chess-master'.
God wants to move us and we remain rooted; God wants us to wait on
him and we decide to run in and perform some misconceived action in
our own power and by our own will. How can our 'chess-master General'
God conduct such a complex engagement with such unruly troops?
I firmly believe that in these
last days God is sending all his body to boot camp to learn to take
and obey orders. Through obedience we can rise through the ranks. Who
knows, any of us might eventually become a member of God's
staff-headquarters,.... but this is a long way from boot camp.
If you feel the enemy has an
advantage here, God says “fear not.” God tells me the enemy is
not omniscient. He is fighting blind and fears might be outmanoeuvred
in any number of positions. As the end times progress the enemy's
actions will fluctuate ever more wildly as he tries to counter all
avenues of possible moves by God. The 'scatter-gun' will be his
preferred weapon of choice as he looks to counter potential movements
from any number of unknown directions.
God led me again to the
Christmas story to explain something about the last days. Following
on from a previous post relating to an Obama speech (pre second term
election). Here he hides in plain sight his intention during his
second term to “win the war on Christmas”. Certain similarities
will once again develop because of the enemy's blindness. The
scatter-gun will once again be employed as it was at the birth of
Jesus, in the hope of hitting a hidden target.
In this chess match some of the
pieces have an unusual feature … that of a cloaking device. The
enemy hopes that this artillery fire will take out the cloaked
enemies whom God keeps hidden.
Matthew 2:16-18
Then when Herod saw that he had
been tricked by the magi, he became very enraged, and sent and slew
all the male children who were in Bethlehem and all its vicinity,
from two years old and under, according to the time which he had
determined from the magi. 17Then
what had been spoken through Jeremiah the prophet was fulfilled: 18"A
VOICE WAS HEARD IN RAMAH, WEEPING AND GREAT MOURNING, RACHEL WEEPING
FOR HER CHILDREN; AND SHE REFUSED TO BE COMFORTED, BECAUSE THEY WERE
NO MORE."
Not knowing who was the born of
God and was to represent God's kingdom Herod decides to kill them
all.
Consider an earlier post of mine
where I suggests that Rachel's flock represents the last flock to be
brought to the well of eternal life to be watered. The three flocks
of Leah (Israel) are corralled and we just wait on the last flock of
Rachel to come in when the stone will be rolled away from the well
and all the flocks watered with eternal life.
Does the Christmas prophetic
story warn of something horrendous to occur to God's people once the
enemy unleashes its scatter-guns and artillery on the defenceless
Babes in Christ ? Consider who are God's children ?
John 1 12-13
12 Yet to all who did receive
him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become
children of God— 13 children born not of natural descent, nor of
human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.
These are all the targets of
Herod and his chess-master. Jesus is the all important first born
babe. Physically born of
Leah and King David but spiritually born of Rachel and Joseph.
Herod now will try to eliminate all the 'body born of God' through
the virgin birth and the death and resurrection of Jesus. All of
Rachel's gentile flock will be targeted before he is forced to turn
his attention back to an assault on Israel.
God clearly is wanting to
encourage us. He is saying he wants us “not to
despair.”While there will be a lot
of life lost, just as in the days of the flood, so all these people
are warned and offered an escape. They will choose not to participate
in the exodus by which they can save their lives.
Matthew 2 13-14
13.. Behold, an angel of the
Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said, "Get up! Take the
Child and His mother and flee to Egypt, and remain there until I tell
you; for Herod is going to search for the Child to destroy Him."
14 So Joseph got
up and took the Child and His mother while it was still night, and
left for Egypt.
So Joseph, the earthy father
of Jesus follows his namesake Joseph the son of Rachel in finding
refuge hidden from his assailants within Egypt. I do not believe this
is the literal place Egypt for our generation but a type. Having said
that it is not beyond God to 'hide his plan in plain sight.' Just
food for thought.
Consider that following on
from a post I made regarding Jacob's well, that Jesus likened to
himself to the water that would come from the well that would lead
to eternal life. In the story of Joseph in the Old Testament, notice
where Joseph is thrown by his brothers.....into a well with no
water so no death and resurrection. This
is a but a shadow of the true well/tomb to come.,This is a 'type' of
Jesus death and resurrection, perpetrated by his brothers as they
seek to remove him. Later when they come back to find him, Joseph
(the brother they refused to bow down and worship), was missing from
the tomb/well. Sound familiar ? Where was he gone ? In the temporal,
to the land of Egypt, a place prepared by God to be place of safety.
In the spiritual ? To a mansion prepared in the heavens.
At
the moment Israel's mother Rachel dies she gives birth to another
child Benjamin. Joseph's spiritual successor emerges at the moment
of Israel's mother (Rachel's) death. It is not without significance
that Israel's mother dies in the place where Jesus/Benjamin would be
born. Bethlehem. The death of Israel's mother is heralded by the
birth of a Son..they are part of the same event. This child is first
named as Benoni 'the son of my suffering or pain' As a type of Jesus,
a new dispensation was beginning. The apostle Paul in his letter to
Romans makes this case that the flock of Rachel, the gentiles, do not
get puffed up and boast in their election.
Romans
11:13-15
But I am speaking to you who are
Gentiles. In as much then as I am an apostle of Gentiles, I magnify
my ministry, 14 if
somehow I might move to jealousy my fellow countrymen and save some
of them. 15 For if
their rejection is the reconciliation of the world, what will their
acceptance be but life from the dead?.... But if some of the branches
were broken off, and you being a wild olive was grafted in among them
and became partaker with them of the rich root of the olive tree, 18
do not be arrogant toward the branches; but if you are arrogant
remember that it is not you who supports the root, but the root
supports you.
Jacob has a number of sons
who become Israel. Jesus would be born from the physical lineage of
Leah, but the spiritual lineage of Rachel. He is the
physical son from the tribe of Judah and King David but the spiritual
son of Joseph and Benjamin. When Joseph is thrown into a
tomb/well it says the well is dry.
He cannot be saviour in its fullness. This dispensation on its own
cannot bring eternal salvation but is the vital preparation needed.
Israel is the host that becomes filled with fullness of God in Jesus.
Benjamin
represents God's salvation for his gentile Body in the New Testament.
Of all the children born to Jacob only Benjamin is born in the
promised land. This boy born in Bethlehem sees his mother
extinguished in the sorrow of his first incarnation. Jesus weeps for
Jerusalem and its people. Jacob mourns the death of his wife at the
birth of her son. This boy is therefore called 'Benoni' meaning 'son
of my pain' because he marks the end of the Joseph dispensation which
will be expressed at the death of Rachel. Jacob is sorrowful at the
death of the previous dispensation. It marks the sadness in death of
Rachel, the mother of Israel but is joyful at the same time at the
birth of his physical son Benjamin a shadow and type of his eternal
Son Jesus. It is a bitter sweet moment for Jacob.
While
Benoni reflects his first naming (as a man of sorrows) Jacob renames
him Benjamin which can be translated 'the right hand man' or 'man on
the right' The man of 'sorrows or pain' becomes the man on the 'right
hand side'. The type now becomes unmistakable as he who sits on the
right hand side in the heavenly realm.
To
add even more revelation of the significance of the last child of
Jacob, born to Rachel in Bethlehem. The Samaritan Pentateuch names
him as such ….Benjamim which translated
literally as 'Spirit man' So we see that Benjamin is according to two
ancient traditions as 'right hand man' and 'Spirit man' who starts
out as the 'man of pain or sorrows'
So what do we know. Three flocks
are waiting to be watered at Jacob's well. This is the first
dispensation of God's plan to save humanity but is typified by the
giving of the Law and is reflected in the person of Joseph. This son
of Jacob being the leader over all the other brothers/tribes.
The
second dispensation is represented by Rachel's other son Benjamin.
Born in Bethlehem and known as a 'man of pain' Benoni, he will later
referred to as the 'spirit man' Bejamim, and the 'right hand man'
Bejamin
He
would represent the flock belonging to Rachel and represent the
gentile body of believers grafted into the the vine and feeding from
the established root in Jacob, Leah and Joseph. When the flock of
Rachel and her son Benjamin arrive at the well, then according to the
apostle to the gentiles Paul, God's saving dispensation will revert
back to to his vine of Israel in order to finally unite the tribes of
Leah and Rachel.. I, like many of you, believe that this time is at
the door.
I
think it is not without significance that the Apostle
to the Gentiles was able to say Romans 11:1
Has God cast away
his people? God forbid.
For I also am an Israelite,
of the
seed of Abraham,
of
the tribe of Benjamin.

This
was a somewhat complex post to deliver, and like us all, I only see
through the 'glass darkly.' I hope it blesses you.
