"Moses; Mt. Sinai; Judgement and the Babylonian Captivity"

Moses; Mt. Sinai; Judgement and the Babylonian Captivity

Out of all the above there is one thing that ties them together - a DATE!

This study will show an amazing discovery that will surprise many.  I'll
start from the beginning:

Exodus 19:1-2 -" In the third month after the Israelites left Egypt - on the
very day  - they came to the Desert of Sinai.  2.  After they set out from
Rephidim,  they entered the Desert of Sinai, and Israel camped there in
the desert in front of the mountain."

The third month is May.  The very day means the same day-date as when
they left Egypt which was the 15th of March.   So they arrived May 15.

Exodus 19:3 - "Then Moses went up to God, and the Lord called to him
from the mountain and said, "this is what you are to say to the house of
Jacob and what you are to tell the people of Israel, .....cont'd".

That was still on May 15 and  Moses' first trip up the mountain.

So Moses went back to the people and relayed God's message to them.
The people responded and Moses went back up the mountain to relay
the answer to God.  That was still May 15.  This was the second time
Moses went up on the mountain.

Exodus 19:10-11 - "And the Lord said to Moses, "go to the people and
consecrate them today and tomorrow.  Have them wash their clothes
and be ready by the third day, because on that day the Lord will come
down on Mt. Sinai in the sight of all the people."

Exodus 19: 18 - "On the morning of the third day there was thunder and
lightning, and a very loud trumpet blast,.....cont'd".

Exodus 19:20 - "The Lord descended to the top of Mount Sinai and
called Moses to the top of the mountain."  "Go down and warn the
people, ......cont'd".

Exodus 19:24-25 -  "The Lord replied "Go down an bring Aaron up with
you.  But the priests and the people must not force their way through to
come up to the Lord. So Moses went down to the people and told them"

That "third day" was May 18.

Exodus 24:1 - "Then he said to Moses "Come up to the Lord. you and
Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel. You are to
worship at a distance, but Moses alone is to approach the Lord;.....cont'd."

Exodus 24:2 - "when Moses went and told the people all the Lord's words
and laws, they responded with one voice, "Everything the Lord has
said we will do"....cont'd."

Still May 18.  Also the third time Moses went up on the
mountain.

Exodus 24: 4 - "He got up early the next morning and built an altar at the
foot of the mountain.....cont'd."

Now it is the 19th of May.

Exodus 24:12 - "The Lord said to Moses, "come up to me on the mountain
and stay here, and I will give you the tablets of stone, with the law and
commands I have written for their instruction."

Exodus 24:15-16 = "When Moses went up on the mountain, the cloud covered
it, and the glory of the Lord settled on Mount Sinai.  For six days the cloud
covered the mountain and on the seventh day the Lord called to Moses
from within the cloud."

Still the 19th of May + an additional 6 days that the cloud covered the mountain,
So now it is May 25.  Then on the "seventh day" the Lord called to Moses".
Now it is May 26.  Moses 4th time up the mountain.

Exodus 24:18 - "Then Moses entered the cloud as he went on up the
mountain.  And he stayed on the mountain forty days and forty nights".

Exodus 31:18 - "When the Lord finished speaking to Moses on Mount
Sinai, he gave him the two tablets of stone inscribed by the finger of God".

It is now July 6.

Exodus 32:15 - "Moses turned and went down the mountain with the two
tablets of the Testimony in his hands."

Still July 6.

Exodus 32:30 - "The next day Moses said to the people "You have committed
a great sin.  But now I will go up to the Lord, perhaps I can make atonement for
your sin".

It is now July 7.

Exodus 32:31-32 - "So Moses went back to the Lord and said "Oh, what a great
sin these people have committed!  They have made themselves gods of gold.
But now, please forgive their sin -- but if not, then blot me out of the book you
have written."

Exodus 32:33- 34 - "The Lord replied to Moses, "Whoever has sinned against me
I will blot out of my book.   Now go, lead the people to the place i spoke of, and
my angel will go before you.  HOWEVER, WHEN THE TIME COMES FOR
ME TO PUNISH, I WILL PUNISH THEM FOR THEIR SIN."

It is still July 7.  Moses 5th time up the mountain.

Now for the connection to the title of this study.

Notice what God told Moses about when He would PUNISH the people for
their sin.  It wasn't to occur at the time of Moses.  At least it didn't according
to the following scripture verses - not until.................JULY 7, 3650 - the start of
the 70 years of the Babylonian Captivity.  See:  2nd Kings 25:8- 9 -  "On the
seventh day of the fifth month, in the nineteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar King
of Babylon, Nebuzaradan commander of the imperial guard, an oficial of the
King of Babylon, came to Jerusalem.  He set fire to the temple of the Lord, the
royal palace and all the houses of Jerusalem.  Every important building
he burned down.  The whole Babylonian army, under the commander of
the imperial guard, broke down the walls around Jerusalem." - JULY 7.

The Exodus ocurred in the year 2520 + the number of days to July 7 =
2520.3.

From 2520.3 to 3650.3 = 1130 yrs.- + 70 yrs. = 1200 yrs. + 2520.3 = 3720.3 +
2520.3 = 6240.3 - the 1967 yr. on the 360/day calendar cycle.

From 6240.3 +   48.2 = 6288.5 - our current date on the 360/day calendar - our
2015 year.

I wasn't aware that the 70 yr. Babylonian Captivity was associated with the
Mt. Sinai event and to discover that God's judgment pronouncement was
on the same day (July 7) as that of the Captivity (July 7) when the judgment
was accomplished, was a surprise!
