Does that include Judas? Does Judas get raised &
filled with the Spirit, as well?
What about the Pharisees that Jesus asked, "how can ye
escape the damnation of hell?", if they died without Christ?
What about Korah, Dathan & Abiram?
What about Nadab & Abihu?
What about king Ahab, or the two sons of Judah that the
LORD smote, Er & Onan?
My answer to you would be to quote directly from God the
Father Himself when He addressed Ezekiel in Ezekiel 37:11. He
said......."Son of man, these bones are the whole house of
Israel." The whole house.......not part of it.
As I discussed in length in prior posts this whole
house of Israel constitutes over two hundred million people. Do they
include the unsavory descendents from the lineage of Israel / Jacob as you
question? I have no firm answer but I do have my own beliefs.
As I mentioned in my post concerning "the day of the Lord"
both God the Father and Jesus show up on the world stage at the same time during
the sixth seal and both appear to have their own agendas. God the
Father is here to intercede for His chosen people (the Jews) and
Jesus is here to intercede for the people who have chosen Him as
savior.
The common denominator here though is............. one
giant resurrection of the dead. Out of this huge resurrection, God the Father
resurrects what He calls....the whole house of Israel to
form an exceedingly great army and Jesus resurrects
what we call the dead in Christ.
But before these two groups of people can be gathered
or tasked the first fruits of this great resurrection have to
be gleaned first. This is the third group out of this
resurrection, the 144,000. They have to be chosen, sealed and taken to
heaven first......to then become the personal entourage of Jesus Himself, to
follow Jesus wherever He goes.
Jesus as per scripture only awakens the ones who
have accepted Him to be taken in the rapture (along with the alive in
Christ)................ not "the whole house of the gentiles" so to speak.
So when God the Father resurrects the whole house of Israel
from this great resurrection, will He have some sorting mechanism in play to
weed out the unsavory types that you mentioned in your
question?
Or (as I believe) the other scenario might be that these
unsavory types you mentioned may get a second chance. For we see in verse 14
that God the Father says that He is going to put His own Spirit in these
people. That would indeed change these people of whom you speak from unsavory to
being very savory indeed and having Godlike
characters. That would fulfill the phrase..........the whole house of Israel / Jacob.
I don't believe there's much time left before we find out the
answers to these questions and many more.
Blessings......Gino
