Yes, John referred to the readers as, "my little children".

I was referring to the LORD making direct prophetic utterances, via a prophet.

What I did not find, was when someone said, "Thus saith the LORD", that they spoke like any YouTube prophet.

Yes, those of us who are saved are children of the LORD.

What I wondered about was the speech pattern of the prophets of the scriptures vs. the prophets of YouTube.

Two scriptures in particular got me:

Isaiah 8:20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.

I Peter 4:11 If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
