"John B "sprigs" and do unsaved children get raptured"
Greetings John and Doves,
I really enjoyed the article from John B on sprigs. I
wouldn't want to build a doctrine on this, but I've always thought the
Lord might do something so amazing in the end times that we would
just be in all for centuries. Just like when he came and gave himself as
a sacrifice to save all mankind. Through His death and resurrection,
all we have to do is believe and repent of our sins and the Creator of
the universe lives inside of us. All the prophets of old longed for
something like this. The Holy Spirit could only come on the prophets for
very short periods of time, to do miracles, prophesy, or to write Word
of God, because of the sin nature. We however because of the sacrifice
of Christ and His shed blood, we are able to have the Holy Spirit
living inside of us 24 / 7. This truly was an amazing event that no one
could of foreseen. In my day dreaming I've just always imagined The Lord
doing something just as awesome and unexpected at His Second Coming.
This sprig event would certainly qualify as such. To think that all of
our offspring could have an opportunity to go to heaven because of a
single righteous person would be awesome, but again a great thing to
hope for, but I can't see building a doctrine on this without more
scriptural proof.
This is where I am going to get into trouble. I would like
to please ask that before you respond to this letter, you at least sleep
on it for a day or two, pray about it, and search the Word. This is one
of those subjects that is opposite of everything we have belied our
entire life. So anytime we are asked to believe something opposite of
something that is just so natural in our personal belief system, shock
alone can cause us rear back without taking the time to seek the Lord,
study the Scriptures, and decide if this is the way it really is.
This topic did come up around 10 years ago on five doves. Do children
under the age of accountability with unsaved parents get to go in the
rapture? I must say I am 99.9% sure the answer is no I come to
this conclusion by interpreting the Bible from typos and examples.
Please don't misunderstand me, when I say children of unsaved parents
don't go in the rapture, I didn't say they would not get to heaven upon
death. I absolutely believe if they die they go to heaven if they are
under the age of accountability. But what I'm saying is if both parents,
are not born-again, then the children under the age of accountability
would not make it in the rapture. When we look at the past examples we
see that when Noah entered the ark, all of those children left on Earth
did not enter with them. When Lot left Sodom and Gomorrah, the children
did not get to escape with him.. There are many examples also where the
Lord allowed children to die in the Scriptures. When the 42 children
made fun of Elijah, and He sent a she bear, they died. We see in the New
Testament in the letters to the seven churches that He mentions killing
the children. Please don't be too hateful when you respond to this
fellow Christians, and please do so with Scripture. In closing I must
stress that those children who would be left behind at the rapture, when
they die they would go to heaven.
