I accepted Jesus to be my Lord and Savior in October of 1979.  My parents (especially my Jewish mother) were very unhappy with my decision.  They literally went to war against me and tried (unsuccessfully) to get me to come back to the "Jewish way".  Although the Lord healed our relationship over time, my parents continued to be very unhappy with me, and my mother has been at odds with me all these years.  Since my father died (Sept. of 1999), my mother has come with me many times when I have taught in many different churches, but only because she is very lonely.  She still wanted no part in what I believe.  She is Jewish and wanted no part of the "gentile" Christ.

Late this afternoon I drove my mother to Carmel MCL and dropped her off for her to have dinner.  Without me saying anything she said that she wanted to be with me for eternity.  She asked "if it was too late for her to make a decision".  She is 93 1/2 years old.  I said, "No, Mom, as long as one is still alive they can make that decision!"  She said to me, "Jesus is Jewish isn't He?"  I said, "Yes, Mom, He is!"  She asked me about this "Rapture thing".  I explained it to her again (she has heard me teach about it many times), and that it is now very near.  I again explained to her that Israel returned as a free, independent people in 1948 for the first time in over 2600 years, and that the time is now very late in these End Times, and that the Rapture is now indeed very near!  I asked her if she would consider accepting Jesus, the Jewish Messiah, as her Lord and Savior.  She said "she was thinking about it".

P.S.  The Lord has already impressed upon me to show her the movie, "Jesus of Nazareth" (1977).  I will probably show it to her this coming weekend.  I also will show her scripture in the Old Testament that proves that Jesus is the Jewish Messiah, and, of course, Israel's Messiah.
