Hi:
To me, it is impossible for the Crucifixion to have been in 33 AD. Jesus,
born on Tishri 1 in 5 BC, Sept. 4, 5 B.C., announced the Jubilee near his
30th birthday, near the Day of Atonement in 27 AD when he read from Isa. 61.
The Jubilee that celebrated the coming of the Messiah was in 28 AD. The
Crucifixion was in 30 AD.
> There are 2 possible Eclipses, Lunars that might suggest the actual time
> of the Crucifixion.
> At Midday, the sky was totally darkened. The only Total Solar Eclipse
> occurred on MAR 19, AD 33 at 1:40pm lasting 4min
> Total Darkness 3 hrs
> Passover always starts with a Full Moon, meaning no Solar Eclipses could
> be possible to occur. However Lunar Eclipses can. As to a possible date,
> on APR 25, AD 31 a Wednesday, a TOTAL LUNAR ECLIPSE was rising above the
> Jerusalem horizon. As the Passover Meal celebration was concluding, the

> hrs.
No eclipse could fulfill the three hours of darkness from noon until 3 PM.
They don't last that long. Neither can an eclipse be seen at the same time
"OVER ALL THE EARTH".
To me, these verses rule out an eclipse. The three hours of supernatural
darkness were near the middle of the month, a time of the Full Moon.
Mat_27:45 says, "Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the
land unto the ninth hour."
Mar_15:33 says, "And when the sixth hour was come, there was darkness over
the whole land until the ninth hour."
Luk_23:44 says, "And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness
OVER ALL THE EARTH until the ninth hour."

Jesus was born before Herod died. Herod died between the partial lunar
eclipse of March 13, 4 BC and Passover, April 11, 4 BC.
Josephus wrote, "...Herod deprived this Matthias of the high priesthood, and
burnt the other Matthias, who had raised the sedition, with his companions,
alive. And that very night there was an eclipse of the moon. (8)" —
Antiquities XVII:7:4
The Partial Lunar Eclipse was March 13, 4 B.C. It was Adar II 15, Julian
day 1,454,218.

29 days later, Nisan 14 in 4 BC, was Passover, 11 April, 4 BC, Julian Day
1,454, 247.

Hi Doves,
I found this pdf of the unfinished Passover to be very interesting. What do
you think?
