"Netanyahu: "I've come here to draw a clear line""
Mat Staver, Chairman

Speaking to the American Israeli Political Action Committee (AIPAC)
earlier this week, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told the
group “I’ve come here to draw a clear line.”
When the Prime Minister draws a line, it is unlike the merely rhetorical
and feckless policy statements of the Obama administration.
Please see my important update below – Mat.

James,
Prime Minister Netanyahu is pulling no punches in his assessment of
Middle East peace negotiations and the Obama administration’s
negotiations with Iran.
In assessing his brilliant speech to AIPAC, it is important to weigh what
was said with what wasn’t said.
Prime Minister Netanyahu opened his presentation with the bold statement,
“I bring you greetings from Jerusalem – the eternal, undivided capital of
Israel and the Jewish people.”
That single statement reiterates the Prime Minister’s unwavering stand
that Israel will not allow Jerusalem to be divided as part of the peace
process with the Palestinians.
The Obama administration’s plan for peace between Israel and the
Palestinians calls for Jerusalem to be divided and the eastern part of
the city given to the Palestinians as in the pre-1967 war borders.
As I have said many times, land for peace is a proven failure and a
national defense nightmare against military assaults launched by
Palestinian radicals. Prior “land for peace” deals have only
resulted in large death tolls and escalations of the conflict.
++“Iran and Hezbollah love death and Israel loves life.”
The first “clear line” PM Netanyahu drew in his speech was to define the
bottom line differences between Iran, Hezbollah, and Israel.
“But the line I want to draw today is the line between life and death,
between right and wrong…
If you want to understand the moral divide that separates Israel from its
enemies, just listen to Hassan Nasrallah, the head of Hezbollah, Iran's
terror proxy in Lebanon. He said this. He said: ‘Iran and Hezbollah love
death and Israel loves life.’ And that's why, he said, Iran and Hezbollah
will win and Israel will lose….
But he's dead wrong on the second point. It's precisely because we
love life that Israel shall win.”
That statement was greeted with resounding applause, of course!
Benjamin Netanyahu believes that Iran will continue their nuclear weapons
program and that the leadership of that rogue nation only responds to
strength.
He believes that Iran must dismantle all equipment that can be used for
nuclear weapons development BEFORE sanctions are lifted.
He has repeatedly called the deal brokered by the Obama administration a
“very bad deal” and emphatically decried it as a “historic mistake…. Iran
gets everything that it wanted at this stage and it pays nothing.”
Prime Minister Netanyahu correctly believes the deal is a matter of life
and death to Israel, the United States, and potentially the entire
world. He emphasized the fact that Intercontinental Ballistic
Missiles (ICBMs) are being assembled in Iran, surely an indisputable
indication they intend to develop nuclear warheads for delivery by those
missiles!
“ICBMs can cross vast oceans. And they can strike, right now or very
soon, the Eastern seaboard of the United States – Washington and very
soon after that, everywhere else in the United States, up to Los
Angeles.
And the important point to make is this: Iran's missiles can already
reach Israel, so those ICBMs that they're building, they're not intended
for us.
The greatest threat to our common security is that of a nuclear-armed
Iran. We must prevent Iran from having the capability to produce nuclear
weapons.
Because letting the worst terrorist regime on the planet get atomic bombs
would endanger everyone, and it certainly would endanger Israel since
Iran openly calls for our destruction.
++Sign our Open Letter stating you will “Stand with Israel!”
James, I believe that Prime Minister Netanyahu’s speech is so insightful
that I have included the entire text on our “Open Letter” web page.
Now is the time to remind our elected officials and the leaders of Israel
that – in spite of the misguided policies President Obama has followed –
We the People of the United States of America overwhelmingly support
Israel’s right to exist as a nation, their right to secure their borders,
and their right to defend Jerusalem, their capitol city!
We also declare our opposition to the Iran nuclear deal, which Prime
Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has decried as a “very bad deal” for Israel
and the world.

++God promises to bless those who bless Israel!
The other line Mr. Netanyahu drew in his speech was “between the
blessings of a brilliant future and the curses of a dark past.”
“70 years ago, our people, the Jewish people, were left for dead. We came
back to life. We will never be brought to the brink of extinction again.
My friends, on behalf of the people of Israel, I bring you a message from
Jerusalem, the cradle of our common civilization, the crucible of our
shared values. It's a message from the Bible (spoken In Hebrew). ‘I have
put before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. Choose life so
that you and your offspring may live.’
Ladies and gentlemen, my friends, never forget – America and Israel stand
for life. We stand together on the right side of the moral divide. We
stand together on the right side of history. So stand tall, stand strong,
stand proud.”
++Now, more than ever, we must be united in declaring our support for
the sovereignty of Israel – because we also “stand for life” and desire
the blessings of God!
James, in light of growing international pressure, including a rumored
boycott against Israel, I believe it is time that we once again “Stand
with Israel” in spite of the Obama administration’s incoherent Middle
East policies, rhetoric, and backhanded threats.

God bless you for your scriptural and principled stand!

P.S. I believe the Prime Minister is among the greatest leaders of our
generation. While pressure for a “land for peace” negotiation is being
applied to the Israeli leadership, Mr. Netanyahu declared,
“As Prime Minister, I will do whatever I must do to defend the Jewish
state of Israel.”
Any “land for peace” proposal is a non-starter for a true resolution of
the disputes between Israel and the Palestinians. The Obama
administration is wrong-headed in believing it will somehow work when it
has repeatedly failed in the past.
As believers, we MUST support Israel! Please remember to click here
