Hi Doves/friends:

There are 2 areas I’d like DIVINE intervention on!

 

1.    My husband & I can hardly believe that my brother is SO gullible as to fall for the scam staring him in the face:  about bringing to the States a “bride from Russia” …. Someone he “met online” ~ supposedly a doctor even….  Hardly LOOKS like a doctor by her …. um, “beach shot”…. Oh vey,  ~ and supposedly, all he has to do is pay for a plane ticket!!!

After he does that, then surely something will go askew, in which case he’ll be asked to dole out even more money.  These kind of people (victims) show up on Dr. Phil all the time.

This guy just barely makes it hand to mouth as it is!!!   When/if he does this, it is going to absolutely ruin him financially!!   Is he so literally desperate for companionship that he is FALLING for this??   The answer is apparently yes…. *sigh* ~ Another possibility is that his brain is so fried from too many drugs over the years – never hard stuff to my knowledge, even so a lot of the more common lower denomination drugs, both street and prescription…..  who knows if that’s really the case??….. at this point, I’m merely asking the Lord to intervene as anything we say to him ~ he will get DEFENSIVE about!!!

 

2.     And secondly, for myself…. I am aghast (and I’ll admit scared) about having to have a wisdom tooth extracted at MY age!!   (mid 50s)   Two months ago when the oral surgeon released me telling me he saw no reason to take it out…. Showed me pictures of how it is quite involved & imbedded among many nerves….. and explained it comes with good chances of severing the nerves (imagine going thru’ life with no feeling in mouth!!  A constantly NUMB mouth with no feeling…. No taste!!  Or to be able to feel hot or cold….  He even told me if that was in his mouth, there’s no way in HADES (he said the real word) that I’m going to let you take it out of there!  

He was my hero that day;…… HOWEVER, it has since begun to bother me a little bit….. not much, just a little bit…… like .02% of the time, I “feel” it.  The panoramic x-ray shows that it’s severed from the roots.  If there are any dentists reading this, I’d love to have your thoughts!!   I will be seeing my regular, very conservative dentist this week to have another picture taken of it & get his opinion as well.

I would love to just put this chapter behind me and get on with life ~ till the trumpet sounds…. And that is how I handle most things.  I tell the Lord I will continue to serve Him even if I become “handicapped” with a limp, numb mouth for life…. Not able to talk well or feel sensation or know if my coffee is too hot…. Or to even be able to TASTE my coffee and/or food at all…. 

It is my most sincere hope that it does not happen this way though.

 

Dentists (Dr. Neil Lipkin??)  does a wisdom tooth that’s been severed from its roots HAVE to come out??
