The Book of Ruth, Part 2

Hello John and Doves,

The end of the spring barley harvest marks the end of the entire grain harvest in Israel. The wedding of Boaz and Ruth therefore took place  after the spring barley harvest, i.e. in the second half of July to the beginning of August. Spring barley ripens 3.5 to 4 months after the grain is sown in late March to early April. The Lord says in Scripture, four more months and there will be harvest (the rapture of the church). We know from many places in Scripture that the feast of Pentecost falls within this time period, and Pentecost is the only biblical feast that takes place during this time period.

Why is the spring barley harvest mentioned in the book of Ruth on the wedding day, when the church is compared to the wheat harvest? This is so that the period of the wedding of Boaz and Ruth would be clearly revealed. The difference between the autumn and spring barley harvests is about 2 to 2.5 months. If the Scripture states that Boaz winnowed barley on the threshing floor, it must have been spring barley, because winter barley at this time has already been stored in the granaries for about 2.5 months. The book of Ruth does not mention a specific date for the wedding of Boaz and Ruth, but it clearly states the period of the wedding, which corresponds to the period of the feast of Pentecost. In the Gregorian calendar, the feast of Pentecost ranges from mid-July to mid-August, depending on when the Passover feast is that year, from which the feast of Pentecost is counted. This is exactly the time of year in Israel when all the grain harvest is already harvested and new wine is also available, with which the disciples were supposedly drunk on the day of the feast of Pentecost, Acts 2:13. As already stated, the wedding of Boaz and Ruth is a type of the wedding of the Lord Jesus with his church, and this wedding took place during the feast of Pentecost.

We have again confirmed from Scripture that the wedding - the resurrection and rapture of the church will take place in the summer season, on the day of the feast of Pentecost. There is also an amazing logic of God's word in this, the spring feasts were filled with Jesus, as the firstfruits, the summer feast will be filled with the firstfruits of people redeemed by the Lord Jesus and on the autumn feasts God will deal with Israel and its salvation. Then the thousand-year reign of Jesus will come on this Earth.

Luke 21:29,30: "29And he told them a parable: "Look at the fig tree and all the other trees. 30When you see them already putting out their leaves, you know for yourselves that summer is near. 31So you also, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near." We see what is happening with the fig tree - Israel and the other trees - the nations of the earth. so it can be perceived that summer time, the season of our redemption and the coming of the kingdom of God, is near.
