Thank you for sharing these thoughts. Whether every detail unfolds exactly as some suspect or not, I believe there is a very interesting prophetic parallel that deserves serious consideration.

When I read Daniel 11:38, I cannot help but think about the direction our world is moving:

"But in his estate shall he honour the god of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things."

The phrase "god of forces" is often translated as a god of fortresses or strongholds. Historically, fortresses represented the centers of power, security, military might, and control. Today, however, the greatest strongholds are no longer castles of stone. They are digital fortresses.

Around the world, enormous AI data centers are being built at unprecedented speed. These facilities are becoming the nerve centers of information, surveillance, computation, finance, communication, and eventually perhaps even governance. They are, in many ways, the fortresses of the modern age.

What is especially fascinating is Daniel's statement that this future ruler honors a god that his fathers did not know, and that he honors it with gold, silver, precious stones, and costly treasures.

Consider what modern computing infrastructure is actually built from. The processors, servers, networking equipment, and advanced electronics that power artificial intelligence depend heavily on gold for corrosion-resistant electrical contacts, silver for highly efficient conductivity, and numerous rare-earth elements and precious materials used in semiconductors, magnets, lasers, batteries, and advanced communications systems.

These materials are highly sought after throughout the world. Nations compete for access to them. Entire geopolitical strategies are being shaped around securing supply chains for rare-earth minerals because they are essential for advanced technology, AI development, military systems, and next-generation computing.

In a very literal sense, billions upon billions of dollars worth of gold, silver, and precious materials are being dedicated to the construction of these digital fortresses.

Of course, Daniel was not describing microchips or data centers directly. But the symbolism is striking. A future global leader may not bow before a traditional idol made of wood or stone. Instead, he may place his trust in a new power, one unknown to previous generations—a system that promises knowledge, control, security, longevity, and perhaps even a counterfeit form of omniscience.

This is why discussions about artificial intelligence, transhumanism, and the desire of certain influential figures to transcend human limitations are so noteworthy. Since the beginning, the temptation has been the same: "Ye shall be as God."

Whether AI ultimately becomes connected to the Image of the Beast remains to be seen. Scripture does not explicitly say that the Image will be artificial intelligence. Yet Revelation 13 does describe an image that is somehow given breath, speaks, and becomes an instrument through which global authority is exercised.

For the first time in human history, technology is emerging that could make such concepts conceivable on a worldwide scale.

At the very least, believers should be paying attention. Not because every technological advancement is evil, but because the spirit behind much of the modern world increasingly seeks autonomy from God, exalts human power, and pursues solutions that promise salvation apart from Christ.

The technology itself is not the issue. The issue is the heart of man. Whenever humanity attempts to build its own tower to heaven, history shows us where that path leads.
