Could Armageddon be located in some future Palestinian area?

Revelation 16:14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

  16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

Because, wouldn't the IDF be fighting these enemies from gathering all together in an Israeli controlled area? And wouldn't the IAF be bombing & shooting at these enemies with everything in their arsenal, to prevent them from gathering there?

   But if it is in some Palestinian controlled area, they could all gather before they attack? Similar to how the armies gathered in Saudi Arabia, before they entered Kuwait, to force Saddam Hussein out?

    But once the attack starts, Israel would fight to the last man, and perhaps that is when;

Zechariah 13:8 And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein.
