"What happens to the old man, the old nature?"

What happens to the old man, the old nature?
The old man is more than simply the physical body.
The old man can hold a grudge, decide to go over the speed limit, judge the thoughts & motives of other drivers, or get angry with the LORD.

Ephesians 4:22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;

We got a new nature, the new man, when we believed on Jesus to be saved:

Ephesians 4:24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

So, what happens to that old man at the blessed hope (the rapture)?
For those of us who will be alive at the time of the blessed hope, our bodies will be changed.
The new man, along with the newly changed body, will meet Jesus in the air, and go back to heaven with him.
But what happens to the old man at the blessed hope?
Does it just simply cease to exist?
Won't we still have memories of what we did for Jesus in our new man, as well as memories of what we did in our old man?
But we will no longer have those deceitful lusts that Ephesians 4:22 mentioned.
So, exactly what happens to the old man at the blessed hope?
