Will it possibly be like the first day?At the time of the great white throne judgment, it appears that the initial creation is undone, then there will be a new heaven and new earth:
Revelation 20:11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
Revelation 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
And, at that time, there is no mention of a new firmament, a new sun, a new moon, nor new stars.
Sun and moon are only mentioned in this context:
Revelation 21:23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
Revelation 22:5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
Now, there are some scriptures looking at the sun and moon from an everlasting perspective:
Psalms 72:5 They shall fear thee as long as the sun and moon endure, throughout all generations.17 His name shall endure for ever: his name shall be continued as long as the sun: and men shall be blessed in him: all nations shall call him blessed.
Psalms 89:36 His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me.
37 It shall be established for ever as the moon, and as a faithful witness in heaven. Selah.
But since Revelation 20:11 and 21:1, speak of the earth and heaven fleeing away, and there then being a new heaven and a new earth;then perhaps those 4 lines in the Psalms are referring to the entire temporal state of the seven dispensations, during Genesis 1:1 up through Revelation 20:15.So that Revelation 21 and 21 are referring to the eternal state.Isaiah may also have been referring to the same thing as Revelation 21:23 and 22:5:
Isaiah 60:19 The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the LORD shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.
20 Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the LORD shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended.
If this is so, then looking back at the initial creation, the heaven and the earth were created the first day:
Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
Genesis 1:5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
But the firmament was created the second day:
Genesis 1:7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.
8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.
And then, only on the fourth day he then created the sun, moon, and stars:
Genesis 1:14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.
17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,
19 And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.
So, in the new heaven and new earth, if there is no sun or moon, will it again be like the first day of the initial creation?i.e. heaven and earth, but no sun, moon, stars, or firmament of outer space?
Or is this question way out in space?
