There will be no night in the new Jerusalem:

Revelation 21:10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,

  23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.

  25 And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.

Revelation 22:5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.

So, apparently, resurrected people will no longer require sleep.

However, at the second advent, resurrected Christians return with Jesus, to the earth.

Initially, there will be much need of help, for the survivors of the tribulation, all over the earth, particularly after the great earthquake and the giant hail.

There will be many, many people in need of immediate healing, water, and food.

There may well be many people still trapped alive under the rubble due to the earthquake, needing to be rescued.

Shelter will also need to be provided for the survivors.

Possibly, resurrected Christians may assist with these things, prior to judgment of the sheep and goat nations, Matthew 25:31-46.

Afterwards, things will begin to become more like life in the kingdom.

Some resurrected Christians may help oversee day to day activities in some areas and some cities.

For the rest, there may still be much to be done in the kingdom, in the service of Jesus the King.

So, at night, when people will be sleeping, what will the resurrected Christians do, not requiring sleep themselves?

Will they do night-shift duties, or will they be able to transit quickly, back and forth from heaven?

If so, then at night, can they return up to heaven, for those hours, and then return back to the earth, for the morning?

Anyway, I was just wondering about a few of these things.
