This happened on Saturday May 30th.  Just off the coast of St. Ives, Cornwall, UK.  Where the ancient tin mines were located (Tarshish?)  The 'where' may be important.  The changing images strongly resembled the symbol of Pi.  The Pi number is 3.14159 but often rounded to 3.14.  It is also expressed as the fraction 22/7.  Don't be misled by my seeming mathematical knowledge -  I had to google all that stuff.  This may be a massive stretch but 3.14 is the 14th day of the 3rd month on the Hebcal calendar - which happened to be the exact day these images were seen!!!  The 14th day of the 3rd month is 14th Sivan which was May 30th this year.  So, this date has passed.  The Pi fraction is 22/7 - the 22nd of July on our Gregorian calendar falls on the eve of Tish'a B'Av this year.  The 9th Av - the anniversary date of the destruction of the two previous Temples in Jerusalem.

 

If we use the Hebrew date of 22/7, this falls on Tishrei (the 7th month).  The 22nd of Tishrei falls on October 3rd, 2026.  It also happens to be Shmini Atzeret - the 8th day of Assembly at the end of Sukkot.

 

You have to admit - this story is a strange one. More ideas would be most welcome.
