He gives his reasoning with numbers, verses and Vincent's $2.34 in this video.But I specifically wanted to bring to Doves attention the story of Vincent, if you are not familiar with it. It comes up every now and than in a Doves letter - about "Vincent's $2.34" - 'a super natural number' given to Vincent by the angel Gabriel. John presents this in this video.
