The
Gatlinburg Fire 2016 in the Great Smokey Mountains -
Sound the Alarm - The Day of the Lord is Near.
A fire started in
Tennessee in a remote area of the Smokey Mountain National
Park into the city of
Gatlinburg, Tennessee. It started November
28, 2016 on a remote mountain called Chimney Tops. Before
it was put out, about seventeen thousand acres had burned
(out of half a million). Most people have forgotten about
that fire by now. But there are some interesting things
about it.
First, the remote
mountain where it started (Chimney Tops), is listed as
being 144,000 centimeters tall - That is 1440 meters
-
And of course
144,000 is a number that students of the Book of
Revelation will recognize immediately. It is a number
mentioned first in Revelation chapter 7 where 12,000 Jews
were sealed from 12 tribes making the total number sealed
being 144,000. They were sealed at a time the angels were
getting ready to hurt the earth (the tribulation), and the
seal was to protect them from the pain that would come
upon others.
At the time of the
cleanup, the day after the fire, Isaac McCord made the
news by a most shocking discovery. The story of his
discovery made USA Today as well as many other news
outlets. He found one burnt and wet page of the Bible. It
was under a park bench, and it was Joel chapter 1 with one
verse from chapter 2. He posted the page on his facebook
account and it is available on the internet. His story had
multiple verifications.
Quoting Isaac
McCord, ”As soon as I got down on the ground, I noticed it
was a Bible verse, and I was like holy crap," McCord said
in a phone interview on Tuesday night. "It was in a puddle
of water. I said, 'I want to take care of this the best
way I can,' so I gently scooped it up and carried it out
the best I could…parts of the right side of the page were
preserved enough to get the message across:
"O Lord, to thee
will I cry: For the fire hath devoured the pastures of the
wilderness, and the flame hath burned all the trees of the
field," the page reads, according to a picture of
the page posted on McCord's Facebook.
"We were like this
is unreal, this is unbelievable," McCord said. "When we
had both fully read it, we looked at each other — and I
will never forget this moment — we both burst into tears.
I was ghost white, and we just prayed. There was nothing
else to do.
Angela Davis,
reached by phone on Tuesday night, corroborated McCord's
story, saying when she returned from the restroom, she saw
him with the Bible page. It was burned, brittle, wet and
in two pieces, she said…
The very last
thing visible on the bottom of the burnt page of the Bible
was part of Joel 2:1.
Blow
ye the trumpet…, and sound an alarm…
Joel 1:15 was
visible in KJV. It says:
“Alas
for the day! for the day of the Lord is at hand, and as
a destruction from the Almighty shall it come.”
And that happened
one year after the four blood moons.
And the fire
started on Chimney Tops mountain, which listed as being
144,000 centimeters tall (1440 Meters).
