Why is
it meaningful to hope for Jesus Soon Return?
The Lord is pleased
that the Bride be waiting expectantly for the wedding day.
This is a key to sanctification. I John 3 says,
Behold what manner
of love the Father has bestowed upon us that we should be
called the children of God, and it does not yet appear what
we shall be, but we know that when He shall appear, we shall
see Him as He is, AND EVERY MAN THAT HAS THIS HOPE IN HIM
PURIFIES HIMSELF EVEN AS HE IS PURE.
As the wedding day
gets closer, the bride in love will be more attentive to the
details of the big day. In the same way, those who truly
expect that Jesus could come today will focus on loving
Jesus and pleasing Him more and more.
Now
there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which
the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that
day--and not only to me,
but also to all who have longed for his
appearing. II Timothy 4:8
Are you longing for
His appearing? It could be today!
John 14 makes it
clear that Jesus promises to appear in the clouds for His
followers to take them to the place He has prepared. THIS IS
HIS PROMISE ! That is wedding terminology.
Jesus
said, “I go
to prepare a place for you, and if I go and prepare a place
for you, I will come again, and receive you unto Myself,
that where I am there you may be also.” John
14:3
A new movie that has
recently been released is, “Before the Wrath”. It gives a
clear example of the wedding traditions of Galilee which
confirm Jesus’ words as wedding terminology.
A Jewish website
called
chabad.org
published an article…
The
First Week after the Jewish Wedding:
”The
law, with its profound insight into the human psyche,
required that the couple stay together during the first
week to continue to celebrate. They are not to go to work
or otherwise to separate, unless there is an urgent need.
This tradition harks back to Jacob, who celebrated seven
days with Leah and then with Rachel”.
Just as each of
Daniels 70 weeks is 7 years. So this Jewish tradition of
having the bride and groom celebrate for 7 days can
symbolize the 7 years of the Marriage Supper of the Lamb…
Revelation 19 makes
it clear that in the second coming, Jesus will come with His
Bride to the earth. He will return to earth after the
Marriage Supper of the Lamb, and He will begin His rule on
the earth for 1000 years at that time.
“For the
Marriage of the Lamb is come, and His wife hath made
herself ready. And to her was granted that She should be
arrayed in fine linen, clean and white…Blessed are they
which are called to The Marriage Supper of the Lamb”
Revelation 19:7-9
“And the
armies which were in heaven followed Him upon white
horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean” Revelation
19:14
(the Second
Coming of Jesus to rule on the earth after the Marriage
Supper)
So the Rapture and
the Second Coming are two different events.
First Jesus will
appear in the clouds to take us to the place He has prepared
(John 14), and then we will have the Marriage Supper of the
Lamb (in Heaven - Rev. 19), and then we will return with
Jesus to this earth following Him on white horses and
clothed with linen, white and clean. Then Jesus, with the
church, will rule on this earth for 1000 years.
FOR YET IN A VERY
LITTLE WHILE, HE WHO IS COMING
WILL
COME, AND
WILL NOT DELAY. Hebrews 10:37
