Putin is Favorably Disposed to Israel

During the recent 12-day conflict between Israel and Iran, media outlets reported that Vladimir Putin publicly noted the presence of nearly two million Russian-speaking individuals from the former Soviet Union and Russia living in Israel. He has characterized Israel as "almost a Russian-speaking country" and highlighted that this demographic plays a significant role in Russia’s approach to Middle Eastern affairs.

In light of the Ezekiel 38 prophecy—which envisions a coalition of nations, including Iran (referred to as Persia), potentially allied with a Russian contingent against Israel—one could argue that Putin is unlikely to lead such a coalition. His positive stance toward Israel’s substantial Russian-speaking population suggests he would be reluctant to engage in hostilities against Israel.

Furthermore, the expectation that no regime change would occur in Iran if the Ezekiel 38 scenario were imminent appears to have been borne out, as recent events have shown Israel’s intent to target Ayatollah Khomeini. Given these developments, it may be reasonable to anticipate Putin’s departure from the Russian leadership in the near future.

These are simply some reflections on current events from an eschatological perspective.
