"June 14 U.S. Army Military Parade"

Hello John and Doves,

Finally, the U.S. gets a military parade.

The U.S. Army "plans to mark its 250th anniversary with a pomp-filled procession through the streets of the nation's capital, a date coinciding with the president's birthday."  On June 14th the 2nd Continental Congress established the Continental Army.

"The event is designed not only to showcase the Army's modern capabilites but also to inspire a new generation to embrace the spirit of service, resilience  and leadership that defines the United States."

"The parade will trace the Army's evolution from the Revolutionary War through to the U.S. Army of Tomorrow."

This parade will take place on June 14 in the "heart of Washington, D.C., spanning six blocks and bisecting the National Mall."  June 14 is also Flag Day.  On this day in 1777, the U.S. approved Betsy Ross' Stars and Stripes as are our national flag.

"On June 14, 1775 the Second Continental Congress voted to establish the Continental Army, organizers say, marking the creation of America's first national military force more than a year before the Declaration of Independence."

The parade will begin at 6:30PM ET...the parade is set to cross in front of Trump's viewing stand on Constitution Avenue south of the White House."

The parade is expected to end at 7:30 PM ET.  This will be followed by a concert and a fireworks display.

This article notes there will be "hundreds of military vehicles and aircraft and thousands of soldiers."  The cost will be $25 to $45 million.  28 M1 Abram main battle tanks will be placed onto trucks and driven into D.C. and offloaded near the Lincoln Memorial.  There will be 28 Bradley Fighting Vehicles; 28 Stryker combat vehicles, four M-109 Paladin self-propelled howitzers and other towed artillery.  They will travel towards the White House.  "The Army said it's also planning some additional asphalt work and putting new rubber padding on the tanks' metal tracks to try to minimize street damage."  More than 6,700 soldiers will join the parade.  They will represent soldiers from the Revolutionary War, WW1, WW2, and other major conflicts.  Helicopters and aircraft will also participate.

Russia has huge military Victory Day parades.  Our hour parade will look pretty small by comparison - but ours is just the Army side and not the whole of the U.S. Armed Forces.  As it's a celebration of the history of our Army.

As the constant 'doomer' - I see this as a big target.  Can an Iranian ICBM hit D.C.?  Probably.  Tehran and D.C. are 10,199km apart...they have an ICBM that can travel 11,000km.  Lots of big targets will be in attendance.  And with Iranian sleeper cells in the country...  Maybe President Trump and Israel should wait until after June 14 to hit Iran.

Attacking this parade would be a big feather in Iran's cap.  This would be a big push the Twelvers would need to get the West into their wanted war to bring their Mahdi

Prayers for an 'uneventful' first U.S. Army military parade. This will be three days after the full moon of June (June 11) and six days after Feast of Harvest/Weeks, June 8.

Maranatha!
