More than 50 soldiers in his company were killed in the bloody battle of Santa Maria, which was the name of the town in Italy. After being pinned down that night and into sunset the next day my dad and 90 others, most from “Company F,” were taken prisoner and sent to the prison camps in Germany.

In the dream God told her to “have faith” knowing that she was going to get this news that he could possibly be dead.
