John and Doves,
Most of us have heard the saying,"The pen is mightier than the sword."
And that has been proven true when our historical documents have ended wars.
While swords may pierce the body, words pierce the soul and spirit. Both have power, but only one speaks to all generations, as does the Bible.
Hebrews 4:12"The word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents (motives) of the heart."
The 5 Doves message board has words that help my daily walk with the Lord...news that keeps me relevant and perceptive...testimonies that give me strength to keep on keeping on.
We are, all of us, using our fingers to fight the spiritual battle out there.
With our words-- teaching our fingers to fight-- we are putting on the armor of Light and sharing with the world at large the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.
Thank you God, for teaching my fingers to fight.
Psalm 144:1"Blessed be the LORD my strength ( El Gabbor),which teacheth my hands to war,and my fingers to fight."
With our fingers we use the keyboard and write Truth.
With our hands, we fight the spiritual battle and PRAY.
PRAYER:The Greatest Weapon
Soon Israeli Forces will be surrounded by a ring of fire, and will be battling for their very existence...fightingthe Hezbollah, the Houthis, the Hamas (again), the Palestinian riots within, and the Islamic Jihadists of Iraq, and Syria.
The supremacy of weapons will play their part in who will have the victory.
Yet, the supreme winning weapon in all wars is PRAYER.
Exodus 17: 9--18"And Moses said unto Joshua,"Choose us out men, and go out and fight with Amalek.Tomorrow I will stand out on top of the hill with the rod of God in mine hand."
"So Joshua did as Moses had said to him, and fought with Amalek. And Moses, Aaron and Hur, went up to the top of the hill."
"And it came to pass when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed; And when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed."
"But Moses' hands were heavy; and they took a stone and put it under himand he sat thereon."
"And Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands;the one on the one side, and the other on the other side. And his hands were steady until the going down of the sun".
"And Joshua discomfitted Amalek."
May Israel have great victory with the two hands of friends uplifted in prayer...1. The prayers of the Israeli people of Messiah, and
2.The Christian prayers of Believers in Jesus Christ.
May the Israelis discomfit their enemies, in Jesus name. Amen.
