"Anger boiled over..."

Christians!  Wake up! Look up!  Your redemption draweth nigh!

With all the rage going on, and we might be searching the internet for the latest prophecy to tell us what’s ahead-- trying to calm our simmering fears.

But can an old lady speak?

                                                                      _____

Whenever I wanted to cook up some noodles or make spagetti,  I started with a pot full of water and got the water boiling.  Then I put in the very dry, hard pastas and cooked them until they were softened enough to drain away the water, then add a delicious sauce.  Mmmm!

But that dish had some requirements to make it good: First, the water had to boil. Then the hard ingredients had to be added until they were soft enough, and after that happened, let all the water drain away.

However without following the recipe, nothing could happen.  I was left with hard, hard half-cooked ingredients, cold water and an empty pot.

We may wonder why we always hunger: We try everything but the right thing.  Hardened hearts must be softened until ready, with all our resentments, our unfufilled dreams, our hidden anger and rage, our unforgiveness and unwillingness to change.

Nothing will ever bring anyone peace, happiness and joy until we let the water boil long enough to soften our hearts and evaporate our sins away.

Just as clouds can make up a good shower or some storm but eventually dissipate. We, through prayer and repentance, can step away into His Sonshine…
