Then after no longer thinking of only myself, as mentioned in that previous letter, Hebrews 12:2 was more exciting:Hebrews 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.}
I finally could see that there were some joyful things before the LORD, while endured the cross:
Psalms 21:1 The king shall joy in thy strength, O LORD; and in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!
His joy of the resurrection and ascension:Psalms 16:11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
His joy during this church age, i.e. Jesus s the one in the presence of the angels:Luke 15:10 Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.
His joy when he brings us, at the blessed hope to the place he has prepared:Psalms 45:15 With gladness and rejoicing shall they be brought: they shall enter into the king’s palace.
His joy of the wedding supper of the Lamb:Isaiah 61:10 I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.
His joy of bringing us back with him to the earth, after the tribulation:Psalms 126:6 He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.
His joy when Israel finally believes on him as their Messiah:Isaiah 25:9 And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the LORD; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.
His joy of the future:Isaiah 65:19 And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying.
