Miracle on Mount Disappointment (Australia)

On Monday 8 June 2020 a 14 year old (non-verbal) autistic boy got separated from his family and became lost, on Mount Disappointment in Victoria, Australia.  The search was difficult - in dense bushland.  The boy was not prepared for the freezing temperatures on the mountain.  After two freezing nights, survival expectancy was lowAround 500 searchers, mainly volunteers were looking for him.  The story was widely reported on the news, even on national weather reports they commented on weather where the boy was lost!  On Wednesday afternoon the news came through that William had miraculously survived!!! The link below provides more information.

I am writing this letter for encouragement. Over many years we have faced disappointment as dates for the Rapture have come and gone.  The one who found rescued William had to climb Mount Disappointment.  Canberra where I live is surrounded by hills and mountains.  Behind the close hills are mountains (known as the Brindabellas), and behind the Brindabellas are the Australian Alps, the Snowy Mountains, beautifully snow covered in winter!!!

We may have climbed Mount Disappointment, but we are nearing the top.  In the words of that hymn, Mine Eyes Have Seen the Glory of the Coming of the King!!  What we have seen by faith as we have looked into the promises in His Word, is now unfolding before our eyes!!  We are moving into the Day of the Lord!!  Covid 19 is arguably the strongest birth pang, and the end of the world as we know it.  The Day of the Lord, including the Rapture, is imminent!!

The word disappoint or disappointment is used infrequently in most Bible translations, albeit more so in the Amplified Bible (Classic Edition).  A couple of Scriptures worth noting are below.  What lies ahead will certainly not be disappointing for those who are watching and longing for His Return!!

 Romans 5 v 5

Such hope never disappoints or deludes or shames us, for God’s love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit Who has been given to us.

Romans 9 v 33

As it is written, Behold I am laying in Zion a Stone that will make men stumble, a Rock that will make them fall;  but he who believes in Him shall not be put to shame nor be disappointed in his expectations.

1 Peter 2 v 6

For thus it stands in Scripture: Behold, I am laying in Zion a chosen (honoured), precious chief Cornerstone, and he who believes in Him shall never be disappointed or put to shame.

To you then who believe is the preciousness; but for those who disbelieve [it is true], The [very] Stone which the builders rejected has become the main Cornerstone!!
