"As it was before, so shall it be again--Ecclesiastes 1:9"

Hello, John and Doves,
We had to wait until this day, Yom Yerushalyim, for the Second Parousia because of what happened in the time of the Exodus.
Please note that the seventy sevens of shmita counts began merrily ticking away before it was revealed to Daniel. That's one way of getting your foot in the door. You build the door around your foot!!
What do I mean? Remember this promise?
It is written,
Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given to you, just as I promised to Moses.
Joshua 1:3 ESV
But wait! This is a confirmation of an old promise, not an entirely new one.
It is written,
Every place on which the sole of your foot treads shall be yours. Your territory shall be from the wilderness to the Lebanon and from the River, the river Euphrates, to the western sea.
Deuteronomy 11:24 ESV
If you will recall, Joshua and Caleb prepared the way by going in as spies, claiming the land for Israel just by walking on it!
That's how salvation is! You've got to make contact with the gift of eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord!
Okay, let's get back to the promise. You may remember the promise given by God to Abraham.
The borders were set. God never goes back on His word of blessing, except during times of disobedience.  He never relents in judgment unless there is repentance. The promise stands.
The reason for delays can be found in Genesis.
It is written,
12 As the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell on Abram. And behold, dreadful and great darkness fell upon him. 13 Then the LORD said to Abram, “Know for certain that your offspring will be sojourners in a land that is not theirs and will be servants there, and they will be afflicted for four hundred years. 14 But I will bring judgment on the nation that they serve, and afterward they shall come out with great possessions. 15 As for you, you shall go to your fathers in peace; you shall be buried in a good old age. 16 And they shall come back here in the fourth generation, for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet complete.”
Genesis 15:12-16 ESV

God has a plan that involves every living believer who is a Jew, and it is glorious, well beyond the scope of this letter. And, quite frankly, it is well above my pay grade to even describe in the vaguest terms!
Suffice it to say that the winning of the Temple Mount in 1967 guarantees awesome things before the 50th anniversary in 5777. Read Joel and Zechariah, to start.
~Blessings,
Mike
