"Re: Greg Wilson - "Does Anybody Know the Real Pentecost ?""

Hi Greg,

In your letter posted on Five Doves today, you stated “For those who believe that the Rapture of the true Church will occur on a future Pentecost, the fourth festival of the Lord

I just re-read Leviticus 23 a two weeks ago and I could only find 5 feasts and 7 holy convocations days listed.  Leviticus 23:4 (KJV) These are the feasts of the Lord, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons.  Notice that Passover is not listed as a feast or a holy convocation day.

Here are the 5 feasts of the Lord and the 7 holy convocation days based on Leviticus 23.

1.       Feast of Unleavened bread/Pesach – Nisan 15-21 – day 1 and day 7 are holy convocation days

2.       Firstfruits/Shavuot/Pentecost – Sunday, June 12, 2016 = Sivan 6, 5776 – the 50th day of the Omer – a holy convocation day

3.       Trumpets/ Rosh Hashanah - seventh month, in the first day of the month – October 3, 2016 = Tishrei 1, 5777 – New year’s day on the Jewish civil calendar – a holy convocation day

4.       Day of Atonement/ Yom Kippur - tenth day of this seventh month – October 12, 2016 = Tishrei 10, 5777 – a holy convocation day

5.       Feast of Tabernacles/Sukkot – begins on the fifteenth day of this seventh month – Monday, October 17, 2016 = Tishrei 15, 5777 and ends on October 23, 2016 = Tishrei 21, 5777 – day 1 and day 8 are holy convocation days

What scriptures say that Pentecost is the fourth festival of the Lord?

YBIC,

Garry B.
