Though not nearly as close nor as bright as 6/17/2 BC, Jupiter and Venus will appear stacked together like
6/17/2 BC again, not in, but near Leo on 6/30/2015.

Bottom line: Be sure to circle June 30 and July 1, 2015 on your calendar. That’s when Venus and Jupiter will have the closest conjunction until August, 2016. Starting this evening, watch the great race of the sky’s brightest and second- brightest planets – Venus and Jupiter – as Venus gains on Jupiter all month long!
