Fay mentioned an article about NASA testing a flying saucer. Our Govt has been testing them since the 1940s. Click here for photo proof of numerous such crafts with "UNITED STATES AIR FORCE" written on top. Our military figured out how to make saucers fly a long time ago, and the concept of little aliens coming to earth in them is just a mis-information campaign to distract suspicion should you see one.
In the 1940s it became well known among scientists that electromagnetic vibration could cause objects to vibrate and when something vibrates at the same frequency as its surroundings, it floats. A circular shape is the optimal shape for magnetism to induce the vibration necessary to make the object lift from the ground. Any other shape would reduce the efficiency of how the technology works. To discourage people from researching the topic, the govt has associated the concept with aliens so you'll think it is a cooky idea. But most airborn saucers have been built by our military, not aliens from another planet. Check out http://www.cnet.com/news/declassified-air-force-plans-for-a-flying-saucer/ or here for photo proof. Info on how they work can be found from public sources if you look enough. The government can't burry that info, so they try to make you think its in the realm of weirdness by associating it with aliens.
Hummingbirds do the same thing. They don't use airlift like most birds. They vibrate and float and use their wings for steering, but their wings are not large enough to lift their body.
The one pictured at http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/june2015/fay67-3.htm has a jet on the bottom. That could be for show. That could be to make people THINK it operates with jet propulsion so that other nations won't try to imitate or descrover our secret. But it may indeed work off magnetism as its primary energy source with just enough jet propulsion to avoid suspicion.

Joe
