"Both incompetence and neglect are prime examples of imperfection in this fallen world.  As such, they are characterized by three errors...And yet, Jesus saves!"

Hello, John and Doves,

Both incompetence and neglect are prime examples of imperfection in this fallen world.

As such, they are characterized by three errors:

1.       An error is made.

2.       The perp fails to discover his error.

3.       He fails to correct his error.

But wait!

4.       The perp fails to confess his error to God.

5.       The perp fails to discover that he failed to confess.

6.       Therefore, a confession is overdue.

And again, wait!

7.       The perp fails to repent from the bad habit(s) that produced the error.

8.       The perp fails to discover that he failed to repent from his bad habits.

9.       Therefore, repentance from bad habits that perpetually produce errors is due.

Whoa, now!  There’s still more!

10.    The perp fails to ask for forgiveness for his error.

11.    The perp fails to note his pride.

12.    Therefore, an attitude of humility before a gracious, merciful, and just God is due.

And there is more!

13.    The perp fails to live by faith, being led by the Ruach HaKodesh.

14.    The perp fails to discover that the Spirit of God has left him (if indeed he ever had the Spirit of God).

15.    The perp fails to ask again, this day, to be filled with and guided by the Holy Spirit of the Most High God, one of whose names is “ADONAI Tsidkenu,”  The LORD (YHVH) my Righteousness.”

Yes, to be habitually incompetent or negligent involves (at least) 15 sins.

It makes you think that in school these people learned ambition, distraction, derision, and uglification!

Thus, it is written,

          1Only fools say in their hearts,

“There is no God.”

They are corrupt, and their actions are evil;

not one of them does good!

2God looks down from heaven

on the entire human race;

he looks to see if anyone is truly wise,

if anyone seeks God.

3But no, all have turned away;

all have become corrupt.b

No one does good,

not a single one!

Psalm 53:1-3  NLT

Yet, it is written,

          1Who has believed our message?

To whom has the Lord revealed his powerful arm?

2My servant grew up in the Lord’s presence like a tender green shoot,

like a root in dry ground.

There was nothing beautiful or majestic about his appearance,

nothing to attract us to him.

3He was despised and rejected—

a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief.

We turned our backs on him and looked the other way.

He was despised, and we did not care.

4Yet it was our weaknesses he carried;

it was our sorrowsa that weighed him down.

And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God,

a punishment for his own sins!

5But he was pierced for our rebellion,

crushed for our sins.

He was beaten so we could be whole.

He was whipped so we could be healed.

6All of us, like sheep, have strayed away.

We have left God’s paths to follow our own.

Yet the Lord laid on him

the sins of us all.

Isaiah 53:1-6  NLT

It is pride that prevents many from accepting that Nazarene [http://carm.org/bible-difficulties/matthew-mark/did-ot-prophesy-jesus-coming-nazareth], a humble carpenter’s son[Luke 1, Luke 2], an itinerant preacher [Luke 9:58], the lamb that was slain from the foundation of the world [Revelation 13:8], in payment for their sins [Revelation 5:6-10].  That same pride blinds them from seeing [John 9:41] the curse that ever hangs above their heads.

And so, it is written,

          But Christ has rescued us from the curse pronounced by the law. When he was hung on the cross, he took upon himself the curse for our wrongdoing. For it is written in the Scriptures, "Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree."

Galatians 3:13  NLT

Therefore, anyone [whose action or inaction directly caused or materially contributed to the death of innocents] can find forgiveness at the foot of the cross.

For it is written,

          6When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners. 7Now, most people would not be willing to die for an upright person, though someone might perhaps be willing to die for a person who is especially good. 8But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. 9And since we have been made right in God’s sight by the blood of Christ, he will certainly save us from God’s condemnation. 10For since our friendship with God was restored by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies, we will certainly be saved through the life of his Son. 11So now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God because our Lord Jesus Christ has made us friends of God.

Romans 5:6-11  NLT
