"If dispensationalism is true, then God has run out of coffee.  You'll have to drink kombucha--straight with no sweetener!"

Hello, John and Doves,

If dispensationalism is true, then God has run out of coffee.  You'll have to drink kombucha--straight with no sweetener!

He’s run out of fresh frozen hamburger patties [for company picnics—yum!].  You’ll have to settle for years old frozen fish sticks that cook up like cardboard!

Luckily for us, dispensationalism is dispensation [Strong’s 3622—[http://biblehub.com/greek/3622.htm] plus sensationalism.

But wait!  Jesus plus nothing equals everything—always.

It is written,

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

James 1:17  NIV

Now, if the Father of the heavenly lights does not change, you can bet your bottom dollar that the gifts for those who are faithful to God do not change from generation to generation.

Every generation has had people with the gift of prophecy [exhortation to holy living, admonition against evil (lest death and destruction dog all your days, and follow in your wake), and promises of rewards for those faithful to the leading of God’s Holy Spirit].  Every generation has had people with the gift of speaking in tongues [which is the gift of clear (and sometimes offensive, because it cuts to the quick) communication].  Every generation has had people with gifts of healing [some things take time, though].  I could go on and on, and so could you.

Therefore, God’s dispensation never changes.  He always has the first and last word on who gets what gift

[1 Corinthians 12:11].  Okay, we are going to go to warp speed while still in the Solar System.

It is written,

But some of these branches from Abraham's tree--some of the people of Israel--have been broken off. And you Gentiles, who were branches from a wild olive tree, have been grafted in. So now you also receive the blessing God has promised Abraham and his children, sharing in the rich nourishment from the root of God's special olive tree.

Romans 11:17  NLT

Since we Doves receive the same blessing promised Abraham and his children, we can receive the Ruach HaKodesh promised many times in the Tanakh.

For it is written,

23The Lord directs the steps of the godly.

He delights in every detail of their lives.

24Though they stumble, they will never fall,

for the Lord holds them by the hand.

Psalm 37:23-24  NLT

Again, it is written,

          5Trust in the Lord with all your heart;

do not depend on your own understanding.

6Seek his will in all you do,

and he will show you which path to take.

Proverbs 3:5-6  NLT

Yet again, it is written,

Your own ears will hear him. Right behind you a voice will say, "This is the way you should go," whether to the right or to the left.

Isaiah 30:21  NLT

Once again, it is written,

I will give them a heart to know that I am the LORD, and they shall be my people and I will be their God, for they shall return to me with their whole heart.

Jeremiah 24:7  ESV

Finally [for this portion of the study], it is written,

          The Book of Remembrance

16Then those who feared the Lord spoke with one another. The Lord paid attention and heard them, and a book of remembrance was written before him of those who feared the Lord and esteemed his name. 17“They shall be mine, says the Lord of hosts, in the day when I make up my treasured possession, and I will spare them as a man spares his son who serves him. 18Then once more you shall see the distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve him.

Malachi 3:16-18  ESV

The book of remembrance is the same from generation to generation.

Now, we shift into transwarp speed in the middle of a star cluster.

It is written,

14“I am the good shepherd; I know my own sheep, and they know me, 15just as my Father knows me and I know the Father. So I sacrifice my life for the sheep. 16I have other sheep, too, that are not in this sheepfold. I must bring them also. They will listen to my voice, and there will be one flock with one shepherd.

John 10:14-16  NLT

Again, it is written,

25Jesus replied, “I have already told you, and you don’t believe me. The proof is the work I do in my Father’s name. 26But you don’t believe me because you are not my sheep. 27My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. 28I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me, 29for my Father has given them to me, and he is more powerful than anyone else.d No one can snatch them from the Father’s hand. 30The Father and I are one.”

John 10:25-30  NLT

Now, the Greek word translated as “one” is verse 16 and verse 30 is the same word, Strong’s G1520.

Okay, if Jesus and the Father are one and the same God, then we understand God’s plan concerning Israel and the Church.

In God’s one and only sheepfold, there are white, whitish, black, spotted, and striped sheep.  And yet all are in the same sheepfold.

We are one in Christ.  Now we move at angel speed, which is instantaneous.  We are in the Delta Quadrant, but we return home.

It is written,

11Did God’s people stumble and fall beyond recovery? Of course not! They were disobedient, so God made salvation available to the Gentiles. But he wanted his own people to become jealous and claim it for themselves. 12Now if the Gentiles were enriched because the people of Israel turned down God’s offer of salvation, think how much greater a blessing the world will share when they finally accept it.

13I am saying all this especially for you Gentiles. God has appointed me as the apostle to the Gentiles. I stress this, 14for I want somehow to make the people of Israel jealous of what you Gentiles have, so I might save some of them. 15For since their rejection meant that God offered salvation to the rest of the world, their acceptance will be even more wonderful. It will be life for those who were dead! 16And since Abraham and the other patriarchs were holy, their descendants will also be holy—just as the entire batch of dough is holy because the portion given as an offering is holy. For if the roots of the tree are holy, the branches will be, too.

17But some of these branches from Abraham’s tree—some of the people of Israel—have been broken off. And you Gentiles, who were branches from a wild olive tree, have been grafted in. So now you also receive the blessing God has promised Abraham and his children, sharing in the rich nourishment from the root of God’s special olive tree. 18But you must not brag about being grafted in to replace the branches that were broken off. You are just a branch, not the root.

19“Well,” you may say, “those branches were broken off to make room for me.” 20Yes, but remember—those branches were broken off because they didn’t believe in Christ, and you are there because you do believe. So don’t think highly of yourself, but fear what could happen. 21For if God did not spare the original branches, he won’tf spare you either.

22Notice how God is both kind and severe. He is severe toward those who disobeyed, but kind to you if you continue to trust in his kindness. But if you stop trusting, you also will be cut off. 23And if the people of Israel turn from their unbelief, they will be grafted in again, for God has the power to graft them back into the tree. 24You, by nature, were a branch cut from a wild olive tree. So if God was willing to do something contrary to nature by grafting you into his cultivated tree, he will be far more eager to graft the original branches back into the tree where they belong.

Romans 11:11-24  NLT

End of story.
