On The Dark Madness Coming Upon These End Times
As Paul envisioned the world of the latter days and the coming war on
true Christianity, he saw it characterized by raging insanity. Though
the last three or four centuries have brought enlightenment to the West,
darkness is quickly closing in upon the last vestiges of Christian
influence. Europe has reverted to paganism, as a tiny minority of
Christians holds on for dear life. Radical Islam is fast becoming the
dominant force there. Godlessness is sweeping across the United States.
The result is just as Paul’s words foretold. The World Wide Web—the
Internet—is a bubbling porridge of mixed information. Though amazingly
useful, with a potential for great good (particularly in the spread of
the gospel), evil has, in fact, overtaken it. The electronic culture is
now dominated by pornography, corruption, thievery, vitriol, envy,
bitterness and crass commercialism that threaten to undermine the last
vestiges of civilized behavior. The mind of this
generation is all but enslaved...
The War: Denominational “Christians” Against Truly “Born Again” Believers To Involve Mandatory Same-Sex Weddings?
Not too long ago, very few of us would have believed that professing
Christian denominations would embrace same-sex “marriage” and even
ordain a practicing, “married” homosexual as a bishop. Fewer still would
have believed Christians would be prosecuted by the state for refusing
to participate in same-sex “weddings,” as in baking cakes or providing
floral arrangements or taking pictures for these ceremonies. Today this
is happening across the country, with the encouragement of Attorney
General Eric Holder and the backing of higher courts. In light of all
this, is it really so far-fetched to imagine that the day could come
when churches in America would be required to perform same-sex
“marriages” or face serious penalties, beginning with the loss of
tax-exempt status?
Buddhists Believe THIS May Herald “Coming Of A Great Sage Or Enlightened
Being” (Antichrist?): Said To Only Happen Every 3,000 Years, Now
Suddenly Spotted Across Globe
The universe is full of mysteries that challenge our current knowledge.
In "Beyond Science" Epoch Times collects stories about these strange
phenomena to stimulate the imagination and open up previously undreamed
of possibilities. Are they true? You decide. The udumbara flower is said
in Buddhist legend to bloom only once every 3,000 years, the last time
being before the birth of Buddha. Spotted again across the world in the
past 20 years or so, some say the udumbara could herald the coming of a
great sage or enlightened being. This very tiny, fragrant flower rests
atop a thin stem and is surprisingly resilient. People who’ve found the
udumbara in recent years have reported keeping it for long periods of
time without it decaying or withering, and even watching it spring back
after being crushed.

Today's Generation Says Getting A Microchip Implanted In The Hand Is No Big Deal And Will Lead To “Improvement As A Human”
At Vancouver’s recent From Now conference, biohacker Amal Graafstra gave
a talk on the future of self-modification to around 100 fairly
straight-laced attendees. As if the future of tech implants wasn't
eye-opening enough, Graafstra finished the talk by personally implanting
conference organizer Nik Badminton with an electronic tag. With his
newly implanted programmable RFID tag, Badminton already had possible
uses for it mapped out, like storing and sharing "personal health
records and exclusive links to an art project." Even considering that
he's a well-tattooed and pierced guy, it was interesting watching
Badminton’s initial trepidation giving way to a sense of it being no big
deal once the tag was finally implanted—and really, it wasn't that
strange of a process. Badminton said his new implant could very well be
the key towards “improvement as a human.
Council On Foreign Relations: Re-Engineer The Earth’s Climate Or Face End Of Humanity
By continuing to spew greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, humanity is
conducting the largest uncontrolled scientific experiment in the Earth’s
4.5 billion year history. The most recent assessment report from the
Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change paints a dire portrait. Under a
“business as usual” scenario, average global temperatures are predicted
to rise by between 4.5 degrees and 14 degrees Fahrenheit—and
temperatures at the earth’s poles are predicted to rise by as much as 20
degrees Fahrenheit over several decades. Even under the most optimistic
scenario, which presumes unprecedented mitigation efforts, average
global temperatures will almost certainly rise above the 2 degrees
Celsius. The catastrophic implications will include melting polar
icecaps, dramatic sea rise, mass extinction events, more extreme weather
events, and the death of the world’s coral reefs from ocean
acidification. Unfortunately for humanity, in the words
of UN Deputy Secretary-General Jan Eliasson, “There is No Planet B.
World Bank Cuts Global Economic Growth Forecast
The World Bank has cut its growth forecast for the global economy in
2014 following a weak start to the year in both rich and poor countries.
Bad weather in the US, tension in the Ukraine, the slowdown in China
and political strife in countries such as Turkey will all delay an
expected pick-up in activity, the bank said in its half-yearly Global
Economic Prospects. Its president, Jim Kim, expressed disappointment at
the prospect of a third straight year of sub-5% growth in the developing
world, which he said was insufficient to meet his aim of eradicating
extreme poverty by 2030. "Growth rates in the developing world remain
far too modest to create the kind of jobs we need to improve the lives
of the poorest 40%," Kim said
Washington’s Rush To Recognize Terrorist-Backed Palestinian Government
Is Only The Latest Betrayal Of Israel. Does Obama Have A Secret Agenda?
Mere hours after Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas swore in a
government backed by the Islamic extremist Hamas group, the US State
Department legitimized the arrangement, declaring that it would work
with the new government because it “does not include members affiliated
with Hamas.” What was saddest about Washington’s insistence on accepting
Abbas’s paper-thin veneer over his government’s new nature — his
“technocrat” ministers were all approved by Hamas — is that it
represents only the Obama administration’s latest abrogation of
leadership, logic and leverage at Israel’s expense. Rather than rushing
to embrace a Palestinian government in which an unreformed Hamas is a
central component, what was to stop the US conditioning its acceptance
on a reform of Hamas? What was to stop Washington saying that it would
be happy to work with Abbas’s new government, the moment its Hamas
backers recognized Israel, accepted previous
agreements and renounced terrorism
