"Abomination of Desolation"

Daniel 12:11  “And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that makes desolate set up, there shall be a 1290 days.”

Crucifixion  4030 + 3.5 = 4033.5/33 AD    Rise of Simon the Sorceror per James Ussher notes in

                                                                     margin

3996 + 30 + 4026 + 3.5 = 4029.5/32 AD + 40 = 4069.5       9th of Av

Daniel 9:24-27  “70 weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. [25] Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times. [26] And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself:

and the people of the prince [Titus] that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.

[27] And he [Jesus] shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

Prince Titus was the son of Emperor Vespasian and the next Emperor of Rome.

Jesus confirmed the New Covenant when he arose from the dead on the third.  They brought him fourth on the 10th, crucified him on the 14th and he arose on the 17th of April 29 AD at 33 years of age.  That I believe would be the midst of the week.  He became our High Priest and there was no more need for animal sacrifice.

Any one who did this was taking the place of Jesus and that was the abomination of desolation.  Judas, one of his disciples, believed Him to be the Messiah and tried to force Jesus to take his place as king of the Jews by showing the soldiers who Jesus was by a kiss.  He thus became the Son of Perdition.

Anti means ‘against’ so Antichrist means anyone who is against or does not believe that Jesus is the Son of God is an antichrist.  John said that there were many antichrists at that time and there were.

So many believe that Messiah is coming back to reign on earth for 1,000 years.  But that is wrong.  When Jesus comes in the clouds for us we will be changed.

1 Cor. 15:52-53 “In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we [the alive ones] shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.”

2 Peter 3:10 “But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.”

Malachi 4:1 “For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.”

The “thief in the night” is Jesus coming for his redeemed.
