"Pastor Bob re cults, denominations, divisions etc"

I enjoyed your letter re the various problems with denominations, cults etc
The problem is in the persuit of perfection we may end up isolated
After all, you know as well as many of us that if you hang around long enough in a church you are sure to find things that are not proper, not to mention our own oddities

I was married 43 years ago. I wanted a free marriage in the military so I had to find a chaplain. We were not very wholesome people back then, so the only one who would marry us was a Catholic priest
Later I got into a lot of trouble overseas
No one came to visit except a MD who was a Seventh Day Adventist
Some Nuns also left me some inspirational material
Much later I became a Christian but would not go to church
Then a Jehovah Witness lady came and we had a big argument
She was saying there was no hell, me, I just literally went there a few days before.
I had to know if it was really true so took me
Anyway, I was so mad at this JW that I went to church to talk about it

I am certainly not saying JW have the same Jesus or that SDA has correct teaching, or that the Catholics don't have false additions to scripture.
But I am saying that there are some real Christians in the later 2
They do have the same bible, all they have to do is read it by themselves

I mean those charismatics sure let the door open to a lot of strange teaching
But those main liners sure are dead
Betwixt and between
